That sounds like a good idea. Even if only the players who actively read the forums knew about it, at least it would give you some idea of what kind of bots were in a mission before joining it.

My wife and I both play this casually. I stumbled onto it while looking up the names of some toys I picked up at a garage sale a few years ago and since my wife and I both watched transformers as kids and had a general intrest in transformers we started playing this casually. I probably play more than her since I can do this from work when its not busy where as she can't log on from the hospital while she's at work. For the most part we try and jump into any mission where autobots already have a presence and are outnumbered and usually ignore any mission thats already at 4+ cons/preds/maxi vs 0 bots. I dont know that she reads these forums at all though, and I only usually browse them from work occasionally. We both just casually play drop our bots in missions while watching TV or before logging into other games.

A set of guidelines or an attack plan for people to follow when they get on would be nice.

Those who didn't want to actively play and communicate with the other 'Bots could still contribute, while everyone else who wanted to be more cooperative could post in a different thread and be the ones who update the attack plan for the casual players.

Timezone Strategy thread started. ashe5k, that's exactly what's needed.

All, let's see where it goes. A little overhead up front and you should have some solid understanding of who's available to work with and who to expect to participate.

Well in case we're not starting another thread for it,

I'm in EST and I'm usually at work between 4am and 1pm and am on sporadically throughout the day.

It's a good suggestion. I usually just observe who's often in the same missions as me (e.g. neliz, Blurrz, Orion, Nickolai). Could work if most of the Bots actually got together and stuff.

I think we can come up with a relatively good system where (a) people can play when they want, (b) post while they are playing, (c) still feel they are participating in the community, and (d) have effective backup.

Should we try and coordinate by time-zones?

When I say joining together I mean when one of us is getting ripped by a con, a fellow bot should try to support him. Within a lot of topics I see, a vet con ripping on a nub bot just over a simple question. I think we need to individually support a bot when in need. Vets forget that there is a learning curve to this game and it take alot of questions and time to get the hang of things.

We dont need to cut out the GD in HMW and talk only in Iacon, we just need to step it up a little with our words and fight back. Not just sit there like they have thier hand up your ass.

The reason I don't usually join in the GD is that I am at work and I dont have the time to read through all the topics and posts. I feel that this game does not take much of you time and requires very little concentration. That is why I like this game so much.

The reason I heard about this topic was through Max_Prime. He sent me PM on how Blurrz left the game. We should of backed him up so he wouldn't of felt he was alone. So I say keep doing what we are doing but keep you eyes open and join a war when needed. Lets beat them with our numbers.

We all are - but we all also hope it's temporary.

What would joining together look like to you though? Clearly regular Iacon posting is not a high probability. What else is an option?

OMG, you realy don't know?

that's one of the things about missing the GD talk, I catch most topics when they're two pages old already, but it's a lot quicker than most bots do.

before the reset, there was a Do's and Don'ts thread where the older players noted they got sick of joining the yippy younglings jumping headfirst into a packed con mission with their L0's.
It didn't get read by the people (kids) that should/
I tried to get the MSN address of every bot that played in my timezone (clicking all the names in the mission results.)

I got about 50 addresses of which about 25 are active. the rest doesn't have any kind of IM, doesn't want to share it or heck, they don't even respons to PM's asking for this and to show them around in Iacon.

My best guess is that it's a demographic issue.

I think that's already asking too much of the autobots. fun players don't really like a mandatory "battle attack plan "
