I stick with missions always, unless for those times when i get everything activate and have to run with not enough time to throw em in missions manually.

The winning and losing of missions doesn't bother me. Plus, can't argue with results like these lol, which is a new personal record for me, least repair wise i know.

I think that is where it becomes habit click a few times and forget it. Come back a little later and do it again.

Yes, I'll agree with that. The missions that wipe you out come and go and it can be frustrating, but even if you alternated I believe you would get more out of missions.

Well I am not going to lie. I understand why some people honestly choose the arena over the missions. Sure the missions are better payouts. However, there are time where you no if you stick to a mission you are going to get wiped. That is when I often check out the Arenas. To me I would much rather take a one on one and walk away with a few hundred XP opposed to going into the mission and being a complete wipe and loss.

Honestly I think that is because of the easiness. Click activate 6 and then click the little square and throw them all in at once, then forget about it for an hour, wash rinse repeat.

Reminds me of that infomercial "Set it and forget it!"

UNfortunately we bots have always been arena lurkers, I don't know why as I've always earned better xp in missions. If I had a good way to get them to switch I'd tell you.

I've always been active during daylight hours on central standard time. It has always seemed our faction was more active during the night. I attribute it to more european players in our faction

I've been around long enough that the mods know who I am, especially Psychout. I do commend you on your analytical skills. I used to have a good grasp on most of the techie stuff but it's been so long since I played it's all lost to me now. I'll offer what help I can.

LOL so you play at any point in time during the day or night?

I have been doing the math and while on paper the bots outnumber the cons, this is really only true at level zero.
Looking at The Summary Page

We have the following numbers
Bots = Autobots
Cons = Decepticons
B2C = Bots to Cons Ratio

The numbers are pretty even.
Throwing out Level 0 (since level 0 can not participate in high cross level missions), we end up with 1001 Bots and 1013 cons. If we take the upper limit assumption and assume that all commanders have a team of 12 we end up with
Bots: 84 commanders (83 and one with a team of 4)
Cons: 85 commanders (84 and one with a team of 4)
If we did any of the other limit factors (IE Teams of only 6 or Teams of only 3 or as the limit approaches 12 from 1) you will find that they only outnumber us by one or two commanders, yet they dominate in the missions.

This can be seen further if you look at the levels we control. As you can see from the data posted here we Control Level 0,6,7. They control the numbers for 3,4,5,8. Levels 1 and 2 are pretty even since you can throw out inconsistent players and variables such as new levels or old levels showing.

The problem that we have is that we have a ton of people that log in and just throw their bots into the arena and then leave. When ever I notice huge numbers in favor of cons (IE 3 missions listed, and all of the missions have numbers such as 0/3, 0/5, 1/10) I check the arena. During the day and at night I always see the same bots sitting in the Arenas. If we could get them out and participating in the missions the mission battles would favor us more. I rarely ever see cons sitting in the arena. There is only a selection of two cons that I see that put their cons in the arena, and that is typically when Revenge of Starscream is out playing and has his high level bots dominating the missions.

By the way, check out the main forum. The mods are running some pretty awesome games right now. Even if you play for two matches a day you can win some awesome prizes and get your name out there for the Cons to learn to fear. Right now I am doing my best to hunt down the mods as well. Sustain and Psychout are eluding me. I can get Sustain down, but somebody other takes the killing blow or she evades the next 45 attacks. I don't think I am in Psychout's range, but the moment I am his head will be mine. Burn's been pretty cool about throwing his bots in to beat mine up. Right now I think the guy has a 2 or 3 point lead on kills, but some of those are just because of the whole situation you are experiencing with bots being outnumbered. Thats why I am trying to form a support group of bots. Even if I have to keep a team behind to help the 0s, 1s, and 2s to level up. If you find you run out of energon feel free to hit me up for a donation and if I have any armor / weapons you may need let me know and I will try to sell them back so you can use them.

I've started playing again after some time away from the game but I'm still all lvl 1. After the total reset I haven't been able to bring myself to be as active as I once was. If I can help in missions I will. My main problem is I can't remember where or what I was trying to do with the stats of my new team.

Well I have been experimenting with XP gain and have come up with a few rules that I follow if I can.

I can say that your builds and tactics make a huge difference. For example at Level 0 tactics made 0 difference 70% of the time. The bots that I was planning to build to be rammers, however did much better than repairs or strafers. The ones that looked the most promising however at level 0 were the avoiders. While my rammers and avoiders would be among the last bots standing the avoiders tend to have spent less time in the CR chambers and would almost always have more XP.

Once I promoted Squad A (first 6) to Rank 1 Tactics became much bigger part of strategy. They actually became noticeable on which bots survived in battle and what XP was earned. Here the Rammers took the Avoiders over for XP and healers and strafers were still a liability. Granted on the Hell missions that you will see (All levels 1 - 10) there was a larger range in there. I've pulled some 23kxp missions on some of those Hell missions, however those are a crap shoot. Strafers and Healers have a great turn around around level 3 from what I have seen, but the survivability is still lower than that of a rammer.

To get the most XP I have found spec and build the bot to survive. My Rammers that have high STR and Speed and the Armor to match tend to have the highest survivability. Right now my best XP draws right now are the rammer builds.

Currently I have this:
Level 3: Rammer and Strafer. Rammer is 12-30k a day
Strafer is 6-12k a day
Level 2: Rammer, Strafe, Avoider.
Rammer/avoider build: 10-20k a day
Strafer: 5-14k a day
Avoider: 10-15k a day

Level 1: Rammer, Strafer, Avoider, Healer(changed to dual strafer / avoider over the weekend)
Rammer: 5-8k a day
Strafer: 1-4k a day
Avoider: 3-6k a day
Healer: 1-2k a day
Strafer / avoider: 2-4k a day

Level 0 (no longer have)
Best Survivability came from a
3Str 1ram (Best for Arena)
3Speed 1avoid (highest XP)
2Str 2speed

Thanks. Right now the past two weeks have been crazy as most of the level 1 /2 matches I have been vastly outnumbered in favor of the Cons. At level 0 I didn't see that many cons and at 3 I am starting to see an even number. I blame this however on a few bots that are just leveling by staying in the Arena. Two teams in fact have a full squad of 6 sitting in the Arena consistently while the few bots out there and I fight the loosing battle.

Let me know if you need help with anything or data for builds or timing. As for me, I am giving it till the end of this week before I abandon the gather and boost XP strategy and just level my level one bots to level two to balance out some of the slaughter they are receiving.

I am only at level 0 but i am going into missions like crazy and going to arean if there are no missions for me so as soon as i am leveled up i will help you out. just got to keep up the fight to keep back the cons.

Well if you see me doing something wrong or heading in the wrong direction please feel free to enlighten me. I am not above learning and try very hard to suppress my hubris.

The numbers I am crunching may point me into a direct, but since I am basing them off of basic math and assumptions as a computer science person this does not mean my math or basic assumptions aren't wrong and leading me down the wrong direction. Learning from your experience or anybody else may actually help prove or correct my findings.

Yeah, unfortunately for me right now suicide missions are just that. March is a bad month as I have spent the first week in it in the CR chamber more than anything. I can't tell you how I absolutely hate that some of my bots (especially those with high courage) are just sitting in a fight or go into a fight to get wiped in the first minute. Still I am hoping to rectify that in 9 - 12 days.

That's kind of how I see the arena as well. Besides I love getting a ton of XP for suicide missions.
