Anbody elsesickof 3D
There have been so many 3D movies here lately and I forone really wish that the 3rd installment was NOT in 3D just like the first 2. Granted, its kinda catchy that the 3RD isin 3D but seriously. Anybody elses thoughts, comments, or concerns??

I hope it will be available in plain old 2D too, when it hits the theater.
Except for Avatar, I didn't like any 3d-ization of other movies (computer-generated stuff can be beautiful in 3d, like the cat was in Alice, but all normal shoots look like popup books)

I tend to only like 3-D for animated movies, and even then I can't say I like it all the time. It is still a gimmick, and I have yet to watch a movie in which the 3-D effect really enhances the experience of a given story.

I hope this movie will be showing in 2D as well. I've seen few movies in 3D and I noticed a real problem when it comes to most fast moving/action shots. I find during those scenes the image becomes blurry until it slows down again. Unless Bay is going to slow down some of the action a little I can imaging it will be as blurry and confusing as the action shots were in the first movie.
I agree, though I have seen one or two that I thought was pretty cool in 3D (eg. Despicable Me and the Guardians of Ga'Hoole).

Re: Anbody elsesickof 3D
as someone who wears glasses i find it a royal pain in the arse as i have to jury rig the 3D ones over my own.
from my perspective bar avatar ive yet to see a film where it REALLY stood out as being effective.
t'was practically non existant in clash of the titans and toy story 3 and though i got a kick out of it in despicable me it wouldnt have made a big difference if it was in 2d.
biggest annoyance for me though was i wanted to go see the hole which was a 3d only film and the damn projector broke. turned out it was the last week it was showing too so when the thing was fixed it had rotated out of the cinema.
its also **** useless if youve got any kind of eye disorder. my bro damaged his iris in a crash back in the 80s and thanks to that the process doesnt work at all so if TF is 3D only he wont be going. i hear if youve got a lazy eye condition it doesnt work either.
i DO think bay will utilise it well. but TBH i'd rather see it in 2d if i have the choice

I am looking forward to TF3D. Bay knows how to shoot action well, and he will make it looks awesome. The only other 3D movie I have seen recently in theaters was How to Train Your Dragon and it was pretty good. Also looking forward to Saw 3D.
One thing I AM sick of, though, is people who can't or refuse to at least attempt proper grammar in their posts.

Despicable Me was one that I was thinking about! Good movie.

I've seen only one movie in 3D so i'm not quite sure, wether i want to see it on 3D or not. But on the other hand, Transformers in 3D should be quite interesting.
I've heard that they'll Re-release J. Cameron's "Titanic" also in 3D some time in the future.

I have a sinking feeling, that due to Bay's love affair of shaking the camera all over during any action, that combined with 3D, you'll be lucky if the whole audience doesn't 1. get sick to their stomachs, and 2. can actually make out what is going on

I've never watched a 3D movie. Do you actually have to wear 3D glasses to watch it, or can it be watched without them? Where do you get the glasses, do they hand them out when you get your ticket or what?

Re: Anbody elsesickof 3D
they and them out usually when you get the ticket, or just befre going in, you technically can watch without the glasses, but it's blurry and double images generally, and looks like crap

You don't have to watch it in 3D.

If they'll make it in 3D, it should also be available in 2D.
I don't know how it works, i haven't bought a 3D film yet, i planned, but never reached it. Instead i got a V-class Ratchet. Best buy of my life, about as good as D-class Soundwave.
