 stop Mykltron, you're making my eyes bleed!

I think , recalling a few months back, started a similar topic, but mine was Hasbro/Takara going back to the uber "ber" brick figs that was G1. As in, would you consider a new toyline using the G1 aesthetic?

Bricks btw can bust heads..........that's why I love my bricks!

I enjoyed the simplicity of the Animated line as much as I enjoy the relative complexity of the Movie line. Im not so keen on the look of the Animated figures though the fact that they were generally good representations of the cartoon characters was a bonus. Some really shone, I love Animated Jazz.

I do not like the insect inspired designs much, I cant see why mechanical life would base itself on any creature.

After A/E/C the engineering on the toys took a step or two up. Some really clever designs are to be found. Generations Scourge's arms are genious. A lot of movie figures turned out to be shell formers or sorts but thats due to having to create real world vehicles.

I think the future designs should be great as we move away from the Movie figures. Look at Prime Bulkhead's transformation. That is nice and complicated.

I love the simple designs of Animated and I love the complexity of the movie toys, and Prime looks like an awesome mix of both. I don't miss the designs from A/E/C one bit.

I liked AEC. Was just thinking the other day how much I liked those lines and might try and get some of the figures I missed out on, that'd make a decent collection of them.

Not a huge fan of the movie stuff. Too many bug faces, and weird body shapes, and tinfoil looking bots for me.

Animated, whilst I didn't really like the cartoony designs, was pretty awesomely translated from screen to plastic. I was genuinely amazed that they managed to take those designs and turn them into 3d toys.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

while ive done away with all the a/c/e/ stuff over the years i do miss the straight line chunkiness of the line. having said that i dont miss the combining feature partially because of the way they matched up crazily odd colors like the ones above.

as far as wanting it to continue no mainly because the engineering is so much better than it was those years ago. >:oP

as far as updates of classic figures tidalwave was by and large a pretty good update of a g1 figure. if i had known about classics being released in the future i would have kept him.

Not a huge fan of A or E, but I do like a lot of C toys.
I miss RID toy designs (specially the combiners) way more than any AEC era toys.

The Energon Constructicon Maximus isn't perfect by any means. He's a cobbled together combiner, much like G1.

But judge him on that and not the basically poorly designed hands and combiner aspects of Superion Maximus. That toy is just a failure of design. You or I may not like the Constructicons in this example, but it's not because the toy itself fails.

That's all I'm getting at.

I bought a lot more Tf's back in the AEC era. Not been impressed the last few years. Robot Heroes, Bayformers, Animated, Fast Action Battlers, Mech Tech, and Legends just seem terrible to me.

I'm not fond of deluxe cars alongside deluxe jets, insect faced bots and 16 toys for the same character.

There was a time, I'd hit the toystores every week now it's maybe once every 2 months.

AEC gave us some great scouts: Blight, Sledge, Strongarm, Skyblast, Cruellock, Battle Ravage, Divebomb, Ransack, Clocker, Arcee, Scrap Metal and Overhaul.

I'm not disrespecting anyone else's opinion, just voicing my own. I just preferred Transformers back in the AEC era.

I loved the Energon 5-in-1 Combiners they were pure awesome. when rthey got recolored in better colors for the classics & universe lines they were more awesome.

The thing I loved about the energon 5-in-1 Combiners is they were extremly faithful to the 1980's scramble city combiners theme. Having super poseable combiners that looked like 1980's scaramble city combiners was pure awesome.

I notice a lot in this thread & elsewhere complain about the energon 5-in-1 detachable combiners accessories like the hands & feet. at the very least the detachable hands & feet had articulated moving joints,so that's a plus. sure we could have received integraded internal combiner hands & feet. but I doubt they would have been as poseable as the detachable hands & feet.

My only real complaint,Hasbro/Takara should have made more combiners limbs & not duplicates. I did buy the 3rd party swindle & blastoff for bruticus maximus.

We could have also had actual hands and feet for the combiners also.

Animated Deluxe Cybertron mode Optimus has more creativity, complexity, articulation and engineering than most of AEC combined.

Movie figures are even more intricate.

I really don't miss AEC, sure there where a couple of good to great toys in there, but man every toy was compromised due to silly gimmicks.
I hated Armada for it's lack of articulation and the Mini-Com gimmick, not the Mini-Cons themselves but the fact that I had to tick a tiny car onto a a larger car to be able to use the toy's selling gimmick (light/sound/missiles/attack-mode)
I hated the retarded look of the Energon combining toys and the lack of weapons, and when they did have weapons they where made of stupid translucent plastic.
Cyberton, the same as Armade just with a even sillier key, but with more articulation and detail.

I prefer my Classics style figures and a couple of Movie stuff.

However, if we had the plastic from Armada and the paint from RID, I would be a happy camper.
