TESTIFY, brother! :APPLAUSE: Same thoughts here. I happen to love the movie line, it brought me back to TFs full-on. I have all the movie toys that are out that I want right now, which happens to be virtually all of them. I think they're great, w/ no real true clunkers in the line, but this may be bec. I've fixed some of the big problem-figs (Payload's plunger is gone, Dreadwing has a real head, Starscream has fingers, etc.). I'm def. looking forward to the Allspark line and some of the new repaints (might be getting NW Prime for my wedding anniversary, yay!)- I already have Cliffjumper and Evac, and they're great re-paints based on good molds.

Like I said, the movie line got me collecting TFs again more than ever before, and I've indeed picked up some Beast-TFs lately, I've found a new appreciation for them. So if nothing in the movie line gets you going anymore, then use that energy to find som eold TFs that do. See you on eBay. 8)

Am I sick of the movie line? NO! I would be, but judging by what will be coming out I’m not. I’d rather by the repaints from this line than a bunch of the animated crap. Why does everyone get so upset because of repaints? Its like the average nobody you hear always goes to say “Bring out animated, it’ll be great as long as there’s no repaints” but do these people actually think that line will have no repaints?

Now I’m hearing a lot of people say that movie line is not selling, what nonsense! The movie line isn’t selling as well as it used to, but that doesn’t mean its not selling. Its doing great and better than a lot of stuff we had been seeing. And another reason you see it piling up a bit is because its just barely after Christmas, repaints or whatever, it doesn’t sell as well in January.

Yes!

I've been sick of them since like the October. The only thing that I have really liked from this line has been the Real Gear and some of the video game bots. Other than that Im tired of the repaints and jaggedy/ugly movie designs.

Give me the animated, Classics and robot hereos lines already!

I'm not really tired of the movie line, yet.
I'm looking forward to picking up some of the store exclusives still. I gotta admit, I didn't like the legends class
until the Allspark battle ones came out, they are some of my favorite movie toys, I can't wait to get the Scorponok.

Personally, I hope they offer the movie line until the new Universe
is available, because I'm not too interested in the Animated
stuff, mainly just the Dinobots.

Yes, I am sick of the movie line. No, it's not because the shelves are either bare or full of like 40 guys, but only 3 to choose from. No, it's not the hands or lack there of.

It's the fact that they suck for playing with. I have yet to have one that I can actually use. They all either rely on the tiniest of pegs or slanted pegs to hold things together. My BB 08's waist fell off. Apparently whatever joint was in there to let him wobble and groove fell apart after 3 transformations. And because of the fact a lot of them don't go together smooth, It's not fun to even transform them.

I don't like my toys to sit around and look pretty. I like to play and transform them. And with a line that doesn't let me (and I'm not saying it's everybody, it could be just me and I'm fine with that) a line that doesn't let me have fun is garbage.

Yes I'm tired of the movie line.

I really hope the movie stuff does go away soon and they begin the universe/classics 2.0 early along side the animated stuff that way there is something for everyone. I know it has only been since this summer that movie figures have been out but there were only so many transformers in the cast to begin with and they have done them all plus the video game cannon faughter as well. Now were just recycling stuff but like a lot of people have said it's great for those people who didn't collect certain figures the first time around or were looking for a different paint scheme.

I wish they did sub lines like they used to. I remember when you could get a Titanium or a Classics figure or even Cybertron. Now you only get one thing or the other. I’m still sad they didn’t repaint the drones in Autobot colors from the game.

I'm sick of not seeing them on store shelves. Where I live the Arcee BB Dreadwing wave never hit, the Allspark line never hit, Leader Megs and Brawl never hit, and none of the store exclusives hit. Literally all I ever saw was the June 2 wave, and that only lasted 2 days here.

I did collect a few movie toys because they are the ones I wanted from the line. They were good at the release date came out but now Hasbro are putting out crappy repaints. Yeah I'm sick of those movie toys and I'm craving the animated stuff.

I am slightly tired of the movie line...enough is enough. We do not need 4 or 5 repaints of each character. I got what I wanted when they were available. Now, I am saving my money for other things.

I see what your saying but the problem is the Movie line just isn't that good. I have all of the cast of the movie now except bonecrusher, and brawl. Maybe popular, yes, but The toys suck. And they are cheap too! What is with the repaints? Why would anyone want to buy an unaccurate "nightwatch" optimus prime? If its not the movie colors why would I be interested?

And why are their voyager and deluxe versions of Optimus? Why wouldn't you just get the leader class?

And cybertron was ON THE AIR for 2 years too! And what annoys me is I'm ready to see some Animated toys on the shelves, and even though the show's been on for a month, no animated anywhere!

So yes I'm sick of the movie line. And even sicker of seeing the stupid movie toys ie, "movie replicas", and the "tech gear" or whatever its called. I'm getting sick of the movie toys, but not because the line has been going on to long, but because the toys that are out now... well... suck. It's all repaints except Incinerator. And we never even got our larger class Bonecrusher (can't blame them really, deluxe Bonecrusher is still warming shelves. No wonder they didn't want to make a more expensive version).

As it stands now, since we won't be getting larger versions of Bonecrusher, Blackout or Starscream (they're probably saving him for the sequel), yeah, I'm sick of the movie line.

holding out for Premium Leader Megatron and some new Cyber Slammers and Robot Heroes. Then I'm done.

I'll be getting all the Premium figures and selling my regular figs to help pay for some of them. I will not be buying anymore figures that were not in the movie (mainly because I have to keep my collection under control). I will also get the battle scenes in order to get some of the human characters, even if they are not poseable and barely better than what you'd get from a little toy vending maching in front of TRU for 50 cents.

I apreciate Hasbro not wanting any leftovers for this line.

The repaints are old as hell, and I can't help but wonder why figures like BoneCrusher who where scarce durring the summer are all over the place now?

Bad timing on distribution or whatever, they dropped the ball on that one!

Still to me this is like year two of Cybertron, but at a quicker rate!

If they where smart, instead of single repaints, they should start belting out collector themed sets. More wide spread 3 and 4 packs with a story to each grouping, and these figures would sell, and people would be happy.

Collectors could pick catagories, parents could buy in bulk, and so on and so on...

Aint know reason why the Barricade Scene Battle only has a pic of BB in the backround.

Then again, why should common sense come into play!?!

Me, I look forward to army building clearance time cause realy, in the film, BoneCrusher and Brawl may as well have been drones anyway.

I ostensibly wouldn't agree that the toys suck, but the line certainly has its flaws. Hasbro should hang their heads in shame over the shoulders on Deluxe Brawl, a design flaw that completely ruined an otherwise wonderful figure. 70's BB's being broken during the first transformation, etc. The line definitely has its design and QC issues.

And I know I'm going to sound a little self-righteous here, but bear with me. Your animation argument is where I differ from many collectors, because I collect TFs regardless of the medium through which they are expressed. Do I like comic/show/movie accuracy? Sure. But I won't limit my collecting to just that. There could be no medium at all, and I would still collect them. In fact, I attribute my love of TFs to my own personal fascination with sculpting and mechanical engineering. Basically, I collect based on the toy's design more than anything.

There are two versions of Prime mainly because there have been two versions of Prime in every line since. Armada/Energon/Cybertron all had two Primes available. It makes sense from a business standpoint as well. Most parents would rather have their kid beat up a $10 or $20 toy rather than a $40 one. I bought my nephew the $20 Prime last holiday for the same reason.

I do agree with you that 70's BB sucks, but Concept BB rocks.

I agree that Hasbro made a mistake by putting off the Animated line while the show is running. They at least had the sense to have the toys out during the A/E/C Trilogy. But the A/E/C Trilogy also had tons of characters introduced over the course of their respective runs, the movie had 12 total. So different pricepoints, and yes, repaints are totally necessary to flesh out the line a little. Nobody has to buy what they don't want to buy.

Other than that, we can simply agree to disagree on a matter of personal taste. :-B
I told the fire to go **** itself, and it did.

While a little way up the isle from the transformers movie figures they had the G.I. joe 25th Anniversary figures they were all new. I don't get why hasbro would keeping trying to push movie figures when they aren't selling as well as they used to. I would love to hear other peoples take on this situation.

The reason why they aren't selling is because they are mostly re-paints now. People mostly want them with their original movie colors than repaints. They should of made more with their original colors when they were hot items when the movie came out. Two days ago I went looking for 25th anniversary G.I. Joe figures and instead I saw one 2008 camaro with original colors Bumblebee. I thought about leaving it but had a second thought cause it's the first time I ever see one in the store ,and decided to buy it. Didn't regret it ,and for only $9.99. I want one earlier but I lost interest after a while cause I never seem to find him or some of the others. I'm pretty much done with the movie line now. I'm focusing on getting Skylynx, Omega Supreme, and some 25th anniversary G.I. Joe figures. I hope they aren't scarce as the TF movie line ,and lesser repaints.

It's January - amazingly, toys aren't selling as well as they did in December. Go figure. I don't think it says anything about the movie figures - I think it says that the average consumer just got socked with a few credit card bills too many and thinks junior should be playing with the toys that Visa Claus brought.

That said, I'm enjoying the movie toys, I'm excited about Animated and Classics and filling in a few holes of my fairly new collection.

Once, y'know, the Visa gods have been appeased.

I am. The same ones are always on the shelves and the toys themselves are crap. At least there are a bunch of them so for people who want them its only a matter of time before you find them. A couple of the preimiums look good, and the Leader Brawl repaint looks good, Incinerator is a cool looking toy but otherwise the best thing about this whole line has been the Target Scout class repaints. Those right there are a great example of why the movie figures are lame. Repaints of Scout figures are better than them.

Anyhow, I'm just tired of always seeing the same figures. I'm still Animated neutral, and can't wait for Universe, but I just get bored walking through the toy aisle. But they could sell movie toys forever and I don't give a toss 'cause I'm not buying them much anyway.
