New continuity, characters with a different take on them. Pretty simple.

Thundercracker was just an excuse to make another toy of an existing mold to make some extra money.

Personaly I've never bought a Starscream toy as I usualy dislike his characters. THis was the first one I ever bought (except when I receved G1 starscream as a kid)

Any of the silly drone toys I don't like. STupid heads, damn video game company for making silly heads on their characters

1) Poor plastic quality
2) Poor paint
3) No Skywarp
4) Poor sense of scale

I was very dissapointed in Starscream's hands. I love the toy. I hate the lack of hands. It made me sad.

I also disliked the camera lense heads on some of the Transformers. I feel bad for them!

A Skywarp would have made me so happy. So very happy.

1) I disagree, if you are accusing all movie line figs of this. (That's pretty outrageous)

The most disappointing toy in the line is Jazz, as he has fat legs and practically no arms.

In terms of what should've been released, it's Starscream, Blackout and Bonecrusher in Leader Class.

I know everyone is thinking Leader Class this.. Leader Class that, but do you really think they were going to be made?If what you said actually happened, then we would have had 6 Leader Class Figures. There wouldn't be that many made, and the $$$ wouldn't get back to Hasbro that fast since Leaders are alot hard to sell. Sure, all of us want to dish out money for the Leader Class Figs, but not the Parents of the children who want Transformers. And sales for Voyager Prime, Voyager Megatron, Voyager Starscream, Voyager Blackout, Deluxe Bonecrusher, Deluxe Brawl would go to the shits because who the heck would want them?

To sum that all up.. in time, Deluxes are of more quantity, and they will probably bring in more cash than the Leader Figs. And what really kills the idea of another new Leader Class Figure is the fact that they repainted Leader Prime and Brawl. I just hope for everyone out there that Leader Megatron isn't repainted into Galvatron or some other kind of atrocity.

And I swear Hasbro just loves not making new molds for figures. There's been so many repaints(uncalled for too) for the Allspark Lineup.. and barely any new figures. Atleast Armada, Energon, and Cybertron had new figures when the series went into their later phases.

Hopefully there will be another Leader Class.. but don't expect it to be from Hasbro.. and definetly don't expect it to be coming soon. Botcon 08 Perhaps?

The bad plastic and paint job are horrible. Damn hasbro and their outsourcing...I found a long strand of human hair between one of the joint in my LD brawl...Worse, they cut some plastic badly, so I had to basically use both thumbs to push in one of the missile pod into the turret. Hardtop I returned cause when I transformed him I sawa huge silver streak of paint over his head, which isn't suppose to happen. The scale size I can understand, since little kids are suppose to be playing with them anyways. Plus the bigger they are, the more difficult for kiddies to play with and the price tag gets higher than what parents would allow. So I can understand why they have a limited selection of LD classes of popular characters or scaled down characters, especially since they are thinking about their main audience (often characters that die are characters that are forgotten; you're usually more amazed with how the one who kicked total ass). Except ultimate bumblebee...however came up with that idea was not thinking straight or they were really milking the popularity of bumblebee...

After watching the movie, Megatron and Starscream character designs disappointed me. Therefore, the toys didn't. Other than dat, all the others still rocks. Like most members, Blackout SHOULDA went leader(preferably ULTRA). Same with Bonecrusher. Dat's bout it 4me.

Well ... this thread doesn't really ask for a single figure, so i'm going to say the let down for me is ...


Repaints, WAY too many.

figure let down, Blackout/Skorponok 2 pack ... double double your disgustness.

Some people really like them, so i'm glad that somebody out there is happy with them.

-Leader Megatron's Paint Scheme
-The 3 no-faces (Dreadwing, Swindle, Payload) all look bad to me
-Faulty Automorph on '77 BB (Ended up buying the Takara release)
-Scorponok's unnecessary mode...
-Blackout too small (one of my favourite movie chars)

I have felt extremely let down by the Deluxe figures. I actually like Swindle and Dreadwing, and Barracade and Brawl and Bonecrusher, but the later ones were garbage. Payload, Longarm, both BBs, Jazz (but I like the G1 Jazz), just garbage. If you like them, fine, as long as they make you happy. I think they stink.

I concur, those colors are horrible!

Those who complain about the QC, remember that kids might be assembling your Transformers. Here, kids can barely tie their shoes at the age of 5; there, they f-cking make them!

Blackout was horridly scaled and clunky with his copter ass/tail (albeit still fairly posable) and would've worked better for a Leader Class toy than Brawl (not complaining about Brawl- he's a lovely Leader Class) Though really Blackout was poorly scaled in the movie as well- given the size of the helicopter he should've been at least 50ft tall give or take D:

And of course the obligatory paintjob complaint on Voyager and Leader class Megs- but that's what repainting is for.

Besides the overall asthetic of the designs:

Lack of hands
Lack of actual weapons
Scale
Cheap feeling plastic
Paint app's
Repaints

The scale of most of the line disgusts me. The only figure I own out of scale is Arcee because she's hot. Also Megs colors... what the hell were they thinking?
