Abrams sure knows how to leave people with that wondering suspense..
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

From what I've read, the whole movie was shot from handheld cameras and is being presented as so. Which means the trailer is how the whole movie is done. It's not being done in the common way of beginning middle and end from different camera angles. This is done from 20 or so peoples own vantage point of the events as they transpire.
I'm thoroughly interested in seeing it. $5 says you never get to clearly see what the creature looks like.

Hmm...i cant really make most of it out, we so need this in HD. Cyber Bishop, where are you?!!?

Anyway, this does look freaking interesting as hell. I never expected them to make another Godzilla movie, even though the last movie was left wide open for a sequel. I just didnt think it would happen since its been 9 years now.
If this was in clear HD or just not shot on a video camera this would be spine tingling to watch.
Im not too sure about the hand held camera approach to shooting such a big movie. Its definateley a gimmick, but will it work? For the trailer, it does, but for a monster movie like Godzilla? I dont think it can. The whole idea of a monster movie like that is that we get to see a huge ass lizard tearing up the city. These have to be huge, epic shots that will blow us away or at least thats what they are supposed to do. How on earth are they gonna cram all of that action onto hand held home cameras?
I dont see it working personally but its good to see some risks being taken in hollywood again.

It'll work because it isn't another Godzilla movie. From what I can infer it's just some random creature/monster and the whole emphasis is on how it's all recorded from a persons point of view. It's not really about the monster but how the person filming the events perceives what is going on around him/her.
I could and quite possible will be wrong about this. But that's how I'm understanding everything I've read so far. It wouldn't surprise me if everyone who watches the movie goes in thinking it's a monster and then somehow the twist would be that it was actually a large gas main explosion or parts of a satelite/plane exploding and launching debris everywhere. That would account for the freakish sounds and the explosion.

Yeah but it wouldnt make a full length movie.
It has to be some kinda monster movie judging by that roar, and the sheer amounts of destruction and forces on show in the trailer.
And what i ment by it not working is the way its filmed, not because of the genre. I just dont see how a big scale monster movie, which by definition is all about huge scale and massive destruction, is going to work when filmed from such a tiny point of view.
It would be like filming Transformers with a phone camera.

Considering it wasn't shown in the theater I went to, nor can I find it anywhere online, I can't really express too much of an interest in it. Maybe when they want to stop shoving thumbs up their ass about their properties (it's a trailer for pete's sake), I'll get around to actually giving a damn.

I quite agree. To hell with them, they're not going to pique my curiosity! Just for being such jerks, I'm going to download a pirated version of this movie when it comes out, and to hell with the lack of quality! That'll show 'em.

Yeahhhh, but clicking a link takes effort.
Is it me or did the one guy in the trailer for a few seconds at the start look like that comic with cerebral palsy that idiotic people mix up with Dustin Diamond?

But of course, did you expect anything less? Actually, I forgot to add a smily to make my post a lot less...serious...oh well.
But really, it's hard to express interest in something that you can't find out anything about. The need for secrecy in this case seems a bit...arrogant.

Bet on this though, it will be a BIG MONSTER flick, or a small, but very powerful monster flick...lol. I like the campaign, but I hope it does not let down all the hype. But you can hear an organic type moan after the explosions.

I wonder what is Mezin?
If you're receiving this auto-response message it means that I've gone into hiding. You should be careful now, too. They're likely to start coming after all of us in an attempt to keep the balance of power in their favor. But remember, as our numbers increase as a group, the weaker they'll become.
As you recruit new people to our cause, you might need to share this message as guidance for how to navigate the 5 locks to the key code...
1) The first lock will test your memory. Follow the trail of light and sound, but be careful -- one wrong move will send you back to the beginning.
2) For the second lock, you may need to look to the stars. They will help you find HAAS who will lead your way.
3) The third lock will require you to extinguish all lights but one. Only with one light remaining will you be able to proceed.
4) The fourth lock will let you move all 4 pieces through the control of one. However, unless the three key pieces are simultaneously placed into position, you will not be granted access.
5) The fifth lock will be the toughest. Seek help again from the stars to reveal your key and the message that you must decode. The two working together will open the way.
Good luck.
Van

It's worse than I thought, the Mezin have found my location and hacked into my phone.
I need to go off the grid until I can find a safe location to transmit.
If you need help finding the answers you seek, trust HAAS for the second key, it will unlock the mysteries.
Beyond that, look for other believers.
We are growing stronger everyday, there are many out there that have found the path.
Search and you will find the keys to unlock the puzzles.

MEzin, hmmm.
Going from everything every movie has ever told me. The Mezin will be a secret group of individuals trying to either;
A. Protect people from the whatever the creature is
B. Unleash the creature from it's slumber to destroy the world.
Of course knowing hat it's J.J. Abrams, it will most likely be a group of people trying to stop anyone from finding out about the creature, so they try to stop this Ethan fella.
Then there will be a polar bear, more twists than a M.Nigh Shamalamadingdong film, and everyone will walk out of the theater confused as hell.
