Cybertron Buzzsaw, or any other Decepticon Recommendations?

Postby Sportimus Prime » Sun Dec 09, 2007 8:19 pm

Is he any good? Should I get one, or avoid it? Thoughts, suggestions, opinions greatly appreciated. :) Rock on, Seibertron! 8)

Edit: If Buzzsaw is not that good, then what do you recommend that I can still get without paying a lot of money for?

well if you don't have cyclonus or he repaints and it's at a good price sure, but the mold's so-so. Don't pay over $15 for it. Not very articulated and the color's a little bright for my taste.

I love Cyclonus. And his repaints are as good as the original.

Well I have the Kb exclusive Cyclonus, and while he's not a bad figure, he certainly has shortcomings.

Buzzsaw being a repaint and retool, of Cyclonus, probably has the same shortcomings.

His legs are very limited in motion. And while his arms are quite poseable, he can't actually hold any weapons, no peg holes in his fists, just a solid piece.

Buzzsaw does not come with a minicon, so he can't pull off the Powerlink mode, which gives Cyclonus a slightly sharper nose.

Not a bad figure, but there a definitely better ones out there. I wouldn't pay more than 15 for him.

Hmmm...What about Brimstone?

I am looking for at least 1 more Decepticon to even out my small Cybertron collection. Dont want to spend a lot of %%%, but don't want a cheap-arse figure either. Not much to choose from now either.

Go with Thunderblast. That is if you're okay with female Transformers :P She has pretty good articulation, but the only problem i'd claim is that she's back-heavy. :-P

He's Pretty goof. He's a Repaint of Beastwars Tenth Anniversary Two Pack Megatron.

I've been meaning to get one myself. To go with my Cybertron Jungle Planet Optimus Prime.

I'd also recommend Brushguard, and Hardtop if you don't have them.

Actually he is a repaint of regular tenth anniversary Megatron, the one in the two pack is a show accurate repaint of the original toy from beast wars.

Or his Planet X buddy Unicron.

Goodluck finding them though.

Brimstone is not worth a purchase, he is a very boring figure. Buzzsaw is fine, but both the Armada and Energon versions of Cyclonus are both better.

Dirt Boss, Ransack, Hardtop/Swindle and Thunderblast are all top suggestions as cheap Cybertron Decepticons.

Have Unicron. Very nice even though he is reduced to being a mere tank than an entire planet.

Sideways looks awesome, but I won't pay the high prices for him.

Dirt Boss looks cool, but for some reason, he is also pricey. I'll look for Ransack.

I personally don't like Hardtop. The only Cybertron Decepticon I have, and I don't like him. I heard Sideways is pretty good.

There's a reason why Dirt Boss and Sideways are more expensive - they're the top two deluxe 'Cons in the line. If you can, save a few extra dollars for one of those.

If you're going for Ransack, the repaint GTS version has a more interesting colour scheme. Scrapmetal is another good basic.

Buzzsaw is one of the lemons of the Cybertron line. I have all the Cyclonus repaints from Armada and Energon, but the face retool and colour scheme they gave the Buzzsaw repaint/remold is just awful.

I have the entire cybertron line, save for the few bots I considered lemons. Try to avoid, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Buzzsaw and Runamuck. Everyone else in the line is great in my opinion. I like Brimstone myself, he looks very demonic. If you can find him, Sideways is amazing. Dual allegiance to bot' and 'con!

This one gets a 'Meh' from me. I'm not a fan of the color scheme, or the overall design.
