First off, no, unless like mine the automorph mis aligns it's gears and doesn't work full ( which is easily fixed be taking apart the body and rebuilding it).
And, what is wrong wit 77 BB?

1. Front end Automorph doesn't always work. You have to push the button firmly. Many people tried to force the front end to fold, only to end up breaking it. Also, the front end components do not lock properly in car mode; thus resulting in numerous gaps.
2. Clown feet. Hasbro/Takara should've used the same leg Automorph as the one used on the Concept version, or at least something that doesn't look like BB's wearing flippers.
3. Weak joints. There have been reports of BB's legs falling off the hips.
4. Painted windows. Now how come the Japanese can get clear windows when we can't?
5. Half-assed paint job. The car mode's supposed to have numerous scratches, rust marks, dents and some layers of Bondo, not random burn marks. If McFarlane Toys can get away with having their action figures dirty, why not Hasbro?

1. It's just your (and others) specific figure. I have had no problems, and the only agreeemnt is pressing it firmly, but that is to prevent accidental activation by a six year old who chucks it at stuff.
2. Get over it. I'd like to see how you'd have improved such a great toy. Te feet just make it more realistic if you ask me.
3. Either don't screw with his legs, or clear nail polish. Again, this depends o thspecific figure, mine only has a weird spring action if it goes out too far, and then it clicks back straight.
4. Hasbro is cheap. Besides, with the paint they pull, any clear parts would be lemon yellow and mismatched. Or, if you hate it that much, use Ebay.
5. Probably the only thing I agree with 100%. Not only is it crappy damage, but the stripes scratch off like a lottery ticket.
umm, if u watch the movie his feet look nothing like that. And the painted windos really ruin the look of the car if u ask me concept 4 the win!Sherade wrote:areaseven wrote:Sherade wrote:And, what is wrong with 77 BB?

Battlewagon wrote:the '77 was my favorite...until i picked up the '08 yesterday. the legs on the '08 (on mine) come off the waist really easily (loose ball joint) but the clear fingernail polish trick should fix it.
Malikon wrote:I've got em both and love em both. No problems with either. Actually I have 2 of the 77 mold and still no problems.
I love old cars and as soon as I first saw a 77 Camaro TF I had to have him.
The CC Bumble is great, great transformation too.
Both great TF's.
I've got to admit though, as a painter and artist, I love watching people complain about the paint job on a 9 dollar toy.
Packaging, shipping, materials, store markup, etc. and we still get kickass toys for around 10 bucks. I would much rather repaint them myself then pay 20 bucks for one of these toys with a "better" paint job.
it's just funny, it's a 10 dollar toy that comes off an assembly line where it's probably assembled and painted by someone making a dollar an hour and has to paint 100 a day. And people expect artistry? lol, oh man.
Complaining about paint on a $500. collectible I can see. A 10 dollar toy? meh.
Personally I find I like the toys even better when I've spent a little bit of time detailing or fixing them up a little bit. You get to know them better, lol.
it's mainly the fact that some deluxe tf have a lot more detail on them then 77 bbMalikon wrote:I've got em both and love em both. No problems with either. Actually I have 2 of the 77 mold and still no problems.
