You read it on DA, man-and i taught that quoting wiki was weak.
Nah man those are for the ty, end of-they were shown (i think at botcon) beside the same style pics of payload, and we know he aint in the movie, not even as a cameo like towline.
Anywho just to add insult to injury this is FAnart forum so since it is offical it does not belong in this forum

I'm pretty sure that this was for the movie. In the pics that we've seen of these photos, it was mixed in with a bunch of other movie concept work for Ratchet, Prime, Bumbles and the like. There was also such a shot of what would end up being Wreckage, so cut the guy some slack. Unless I'm wrong as well, in which case, ignore this.

information we recieved from botcon from thw writers, and the hasbro tour, yes thats the actual concept art for thwe movie version of arcee, because she was supposed to be in the movie. in fact, she still is. look at the motorcycle that capt lennox is riding under blackout. its not the same bike he picked up in the street. its the arcee bike. because thats who he was supposed to be riding.
she was scrapped at the last minute because of and i quote "scale issues" i guess that means they thought she was too small, even though frenzy was smaller.

That's actually the concept for the movie character arcee as well. i've read somewhere that they've selected and designed several autobot and decepticon characters for the movie. But in the final draft, it became too unwieldy to handle too many characters in the story. so they trim the autobots down to 5 characters. Arcee didn't make it to the list.

I notice the toy didn't quite follow the concept art. I just bought Movie Deluxe Arcee recently.
In the concept, one of the wheels cut in half into 2 pieces, one behind each thigh.
With the toy, the halves went dangling over the arms. Quite unsightly. While the other wheel simply dug into her back.
But the head and chest did carry over from the concept to the toy.

Arcee was supposed to be in the movie, but posters on the Don Murphy Board complained and claimed that fans wouldn't want to have a female Transformers character in the movie. So her part was removed early on.

Don Murphy is a fool.
Arcee is legendary. Alas, i don't think she fits in well with characters that aren't Hot Rod or Springer.
I think her bike image is catching on since...uhm...was it Energon? I dunno. I haven't really watched the trilogy.
It lets her be more sleek, and thus helps a toy actually be produced. Though, i agree with Sonray, she'd be better as a car, though i was thinking mroe of Suki's Honda s2000 from 2F2F.

Im not sold on her being a bike though....she should be a mazda miata or something girly or gay (in a good way)

Don Murphy isn't the one who axed the character. It were posters on his board who campaigned for it. Don fought against it, he wanted Arcee to be in there. But other people decided to listen in this case.PaskyTheLad wrote:Don Murphy is a fool.

AH! YES! Great choice there, that would be perfect. But on film people would think the exact same thing, and will think its just a rip off of 2-fast 2 furious.
Maybe the RX-7?

Hm, possibly so.
I'm not sure if there has been an Alternators Arcee (i'd doubt it), but if there is going to be one it has to be that.
I think Alternators is the best "Alternate" (as in not G1) toyline. It has a consistant scale and the characters thus look more realistic, without having to be disgusting and sickening Bayformers.
They did an awesome job with Ravage (not Battle Ravage, but the Jaguar one, though BR did look swish) and Rumble, they'd probably be able to make Arcee look feminine without the use of a motorcycle.

Huh?
I meant there should be an Alternators Arcee.

I think there are quite a few good reasons for not including Arcee, at least straight away, and being a fembot is only a small one.
yea, wonder what kinda pee jokes she would get in the second
