The only time that i ever hid a tf in a different department was when i found a rts lugnut but i forgot my wallat at my house. I put the lugnut on the top shelf by the pillows. A half hour later i come back to the walmart and get to tf shelf and over hear a kid yelling "I WANT LUGNUT!". His mom asked him why he only wanted lugnut? He replied "I want to see how fast he'll fly if i drop him from our deck.". As soon as i heard that i ran to the pillow isle grabbed lugnut and went checkout. The kid followed me to the checkout and as soon as he saw that i had lugnut he ran past me and tried to take lugnut out of my bag. Thankfuly im about 6 feet tall so i just lifted the bag over his head and put the bag in my moms cart and we ran to our van and got out of there.

Cause I only need one. But if I don't have the money, I will past it up and once I get the money, if I go back to the store and see the figure is still there, then I know it was meant to be. Like my Leader Ironhide. I found him a month before I got him and they only had one of him. Didn't have the money at the time and didn't know he would be a rare one within my city. After I saw the movie, July 1st, I went back to that store, wanting a leader Ironhide more then anything. And there he was, the same one I saw before, the only one. So I got him. It was meant to be.
You live in an ideal world. What you've said reminds me of fairytales.
Everyone is different. Thats what makes this world the way it is.

I didn't mean it in a bad way. Haha I mean it's nice to have nice ideals that's all.
I actually don't know how to describe what I wanna say but trust me it's a good thing.

decepta-scott wrote:Have you ever spent so much time hunting down a rare figure that after you finally find it you have a powerful compulsion to by that figure when you see it for a second time? I do and I dont know why.
I dont by multiples though but I will take that rare figure and hide it behiend a few other figures of the same brand. That way a child wont come by and mindlessly point and say "oh mom I want that one!!" simply because he likes the color or something. If someone is looking for a specific figure, they will look through the figures no doubt and find the gem I have hidden for them. Anyone else do that?
GuyIncognito wrote:Hiding the good/rare figures in the back does not deprive anyone of anything. It just makes it more likely that good/rare figures go to those who are willing to look for them, (snip)
And don't talk about what kids "deserve". You know what kids deserve? Food, clothing, shelter, a decent education, a good home and a loving family. The idea that they "deserve" all the best toys smacks of the sense of entitlement that has become like a cancer in this country, where everyone thinks they're "entitled" to this, that, or the other thing. That's the kind of thinking that leads to grown-ass adults throwing fits in McDonald's when they're out of McNuggets.
Nekoman wrote:GuyIncognito wrote:Decepta-Scotty: Hey man, your intentions are a little more clear once you elaborated, and that's cool. Just your first post made you sound like someone who deliberately hides toys so kids can't have them. That's all.

......................................You TOTALY have my starscream doncha?..........Ya got two hrs to give him back................Send him home RIGHT NOW and I wont tell him about ironhide..................... Clocks tichin chick......
Swindle01 wrote:wy all the anal comments about this guy hiding a rare figure for other people to find that will actually look after it and take care of it?
i know why the guy hides the things if he finds them and i completely agree with him. Saddest thing i saw was about 5 years ago when i saw a guy who had a G1 grand max with all the pieces and parts....and his 4/5 year old child had destroyed it......my heart just sank and it sickens me to this day
I mean if its a worthless piece of crap toy that comes a dime a dozen then ok let some kid have it. But when its something special such as g1 Black Zarak/fortress maximus/fp city commander/ghost starscream etc or whatever, then you just dont give that to a child who wont understand how important and how special that figure is. Take for example when i saw that grand maximus - scribbles all over the toy in a pen+stickers all torn off+grands pretender shell (well half of what was left) broken in 2 halfs+ gran missing his legs+maximus somehow missing an arm!? the damn toys worth ALOT of money and there not made anymore, there special and something that should be taken care of and well looked after
sorry i dont mean to go overboard its just some responces to what the guys said are just silly
