Nice review though.

Those are some REALLY weak reasons not to get such a superb figure, especially considering:

1) You don't even see the logo in robot mode

2) He's more of a dark bluish-purple than a fruity Barney the Dino purple

3) You can remove the flatbed cover and forget it ever existed; the figure actually has detailing on the flatbed

Yeah, this is my second favorite Movie Deluxe, and in some ways Dropkick is even better than CC BB.

The articulation is excellent, the details are second only to CC BB, and he looks just like his bio description. The transformation is simpler and more reminiscent of some of the Classics transformations, which I wholeheartedly prefer over the complicated-as-hell Movie transformations, and more importantly, he's a fun toy to play with. I stopped buying Movie Deluxes because they were all so fragile and unplayable, but Dropkick is as faraway as you can get from that; pieces don't fall off when you pose him, and it's not a pain to get pieces into pegs and whatnot.

Just great fun, and a great way to end the Movie Deluxe line for me.

my thoughts exactly. I picked him up during the drought, only "non-movie" movie figure I have. Kind of an impulse purchase. That weapon is really useless. I think he looks better in both modes without it. Would have been a lot better with a decent paint scheme IMHO. Reminds me of the low-riders a few kids rolled to highschool bumping "Gangsta's Paradise" every morning (I think that dates me a bit).

Exactly how I felt... I didn't want a non-movie lowrider truck in my collection...

I don't understand why everyone lowers the rating of this figure because of the claw weapon. Yes it looks goofy, but he looks fine in both modes without it so think of it as an extra. If you don't like it, then put it away. The figure doesn't suffer from it. Drawing off points seems a bit harsh.

Claw weapon is a bit dicky, but what I found the most disappointing about Dropkick was his chicken legs.

that's what I meant in the review though, I'd give the 'figure' a 10, but I knocked off a couple points for the weapon. Take it or leave it the weapons still part of the figure, though I choose to ditch it in bot mode.

He's still an excellent figure, I wouldn't have taken the time to type all that up and take some pics of him if I didn't think he wasn't great.

Also I forgot to mention he's got a small shiny silver Decepticon logo on his chest against a black BG, down low in between the windshield halves.

and to whoever asked, Bumblebee's missiles are blue/green because I painted them that way. I didn't like that they were yellow. Along with the car it was just too much yellow. I prefer the japanese version with the blue missiles so......

Took the chance on Dropkick, yesterday. I must say, he is one excellent Deluxe, and a fine TF in general. Much better than Longarm, or 08 BB, or whathaveyou.

Those legs are great though. they make use for what posability his torso lacks (no swivel elbows).

His head and chest design is a reminisce of Prime. Could he be a future Decepticon leader? Could he switch sides in the future?

Only Hasbro knows.
