A friend who lives in japan e-mailed me the other day she was out hunting down some encore figures, and one of the guys who works at the store she goes to let her in on a possible extra to be included with encore omega supreme much like jazz will include condor well omega supreme might include a complete set of g1 Constructicons. I've got my figures crossed that this is true because I have always wanted the Constructicons.

Given the amount of Constructicon knock-offs on the market they may have decided to use them as an incentive to get people to buy Omega Supreme.

I'm skeptical about it though.

Not too sure I see that happening....

Maybe a new boxset of Constructicons is possible, but I don't see them being included with Omega. I think the price of Omega would be higher than it is currently listed

I would assume that if this was going to be the case, Takara would have mentioned it somewhere to increase preorder sales.

I believe that’s the Japanese name of Laserbeak (or one of the cassetteacons, I cant remember).

That was the only Condor I could think of also, but why would they include him with Jazz???

I can't really imagine them including something of that nature as a bonus. Including a small figure like Laserbeak I can see, although I'm not quite sure why he is being included with Jazz. They could easily do an encore constructicon boxset and it would sell on it's own, maybe they figure they might as well through them in since they are so readily available as knock offs.

It would be awesome if they did. Omega did harbor pure hatred
for the Constucticons and it would be a proper vs. set.
It would also be the deciding factor in whether I should get him
or not.

They won't sell, because like you said, they're readily available as knock-offs.

And while the Encore line may be geared towards collectors, they still need to appeal to the casual fan market, and the casual fan is liable to choose a cheaper KO over the more expensive (because you know it will be) genuine product.

as far as i know the laser beak with jazz was a mistake, it was a webpage error.

and the constructicons with omega supreme. That seems very unlikely, lets just say i'd be massively suprised if that were true, the only extra they have ever included was the energon cubes with the insecticons or te little extras with megs, starscream. that rumor that takara wont reissue devastator because of the KO's is ridiculous even if true, gift set devastators go for insane prices on ebay. Most collectors buy a KO devastator because they cant get the real deal easily. if i could get a reissue devastator i would never have bought a crappy $4 KO. if takara were to make the constructicons and release them as the giftset can you imagine how poular that set would be.

I have to say, I'm a little on the fence right now, but if this somehow happened to be true, I'd get Omega in a heartbeat.

I'd like this to be true, but I doubt highly doubt it. A complete set of Constructicons included as a "bonus" with Omega Supreme just sounds too good to be true, and you know what they say about that.

As someone stated earlier - Jazz Encore will not include Laserbeak or Buzzsaw. That was an error. "Condor" was a misprint/mistranslation from eHobby.

of course i read the first post. aside from a single rumor from somebody in japan who was also mistaken about laserbeak there is no evidence whatsoever that the constructicons will be packed with omega supreme. the point i was making is that you mention KO constructicons somehow being linked to a selling point for omega supreme, thats what i dont get. very few collectors will need an incentive to buy OS other than wanting the toy itself and certainly including another massively desirable reissue in the box would be very, very unlikely esp as devastator would cost quite a lot to include as a free incentive in the box. Im here to be proven wrong but i'll stick my neck out and say 'OS will not come with a devastator'.

After reading the pre-order page for Omega, I really think a
release of Constructicons is well in the realm of possibility.
Maybe not issued with Omega, but hopefully as a giftset.

I understand what you are getting at, but I have to disagree. Those KO are total junk, and most collectors, casual fans, whoever, who have these as stand in's in their collections would gladly scrap them to get higher quality encore versions. The only time I see the KO winning over the encore would be in a dept store setting where a parent walks by decides to buy a kid a toy and picks the cheaper version with no regard to what they actually buying. Just my opinion though, I don't work for a toy company so maybe I'm way out in left field here.

KO over the original? Burn I don't think so, an Encore Constructicon will more than just sell, it will be a stampede BLOCKBUSTER! Coupled it with Omega and you'll get one monster smackdown.

I *REALLY* dont see a very **** KO being the reason the Constructicons havnt been reissued. I like many others would buy a set of G1 constructicons in a heartbeat if it were made available (hell, I'd prefere them to OS and SL).

Just totally missed my point didn't you?

Given the amount of KO Constructicons on the market, I firmly believe TakaraTomy realise it's pointless to try to put out their own version. And i've done it before and i'll do it again, I challenge ANYONE to show me sales figures indicating how Encore and TCS sold, between collector and casual fan. Because i'm of the belief that the collector market would NOT be enough to warrant a TT reissue of the Constructicons, not when the market is flooded with KO's like it is.

That's why it would be a pretty nifty idea on TT's part. Bundle them Omega Supreme, bump up the cost a bit and they suck in the casual fan market who may have overlooked a TT Constructicon reissue in favour of KO's.

So really, someone feel free to prove to me that a Constructicon set could be sold, and make a profit, in a market flooded with KO's. I think some people tend to over estimate the size of the hardcore collector base when wishing for such things.

I doubt anyone, even TakaraTomy, could provide the type of thing you ask simply becuase I don't think there is a way to track who buys as a collector and who buys for a child's toy. Given the nature of reissues, I'd assume 100% are geared towards the collector market.

I don't think that an Encore Constructicon set would be a total flop. Why? Because I'd buy it. So there is my opinion, speculation, and proof all in one. It is just as good of proof as you'll get from anyone else.

burns, the notion that a market full of KO devastators would stop a reissue is something that you have asserted, the burden of proof is on you to show that is so, it is not up to people like me who reject your assertion to show otherwise. Only the most indiscriminte buyer would pass on a genuine reissue in sharp new box over a $4 KO, the two products would barely overlap in the market place.

aside from asia the only place you really see these things (KO's)is in $ shops and pharmacies, kids might get them bought as cheap gifts. Online adult collectors will buy a KO devastator almost always because there is no reissue and vintage ones with all their pieces are hard to get complete and with all parts in good condition. Id be suprised if any adult collector passed on a devastator reissue for the sole reason that they already had a KO!!!!

also are there not lots of KO's out there of many toys already reissued, everything from massively remoulded ones to those going for the real vintage look like the cassettes and minibots.
