Hope more is revealed at Botcon concerning this. And MP news.
So Amelie - or anyone -- no chance of a Wheeljack re-issue??? Or is that completely f&$*%^#??

There's been no sign of the reissue Sixshot we were supposed to be getting (the only one on that leaked list that didn't get released if I'm correct), the Dinobot giftset seems to just have been a (cruel for some, hilarious for others![]()
joke) and the rumoured G1 Ultra Magnus release hasn't happened either - surely in the 2010 line would have been the time.
What do you think? Will we get another entire line of G1 (or G2/BW) reissues like Encore or will reissues maybe move down the pecking order of releases and be only once or twice a year in the future?

It probably won't seeing as it's Takara/Encore.

Not to start a fight or anything.
I'm just a nostalgic sorta guy and vintage is always my choice above and beyond a reissue.
I have a great G1 collection due to being diligent and patient.
Am i alone on this one?
Plus i'm a thrifty fella to boot (as in that ebay prices can be extravigant to say the least ) and have gotten some really great deals for the same reasons stated above.
for example i bought a beautifull Sixshot on Ebay for 20 bucks a couple years ago. I spent some time hunting and watching but i got em! I like hunting online now i guess more than going from store to store burning gas or waiting for an official release. That's the way i hunt these days and get what i want.

Because that works for YOU. I much prefer reissues to vintage. I keep my collection as close to pristine OOP condition as I'm able. It's easier to avoid disappointment buying factory fresh items than it is buying vintage. Stuff that has had 20 plus years to be abused, mishandled or misrepresented the seller. Everyone has their thing. I've got some fantastic older stuff myself but the effort to get it that way can be maddening.
vectorA3 wrote:I like re-issues a lot too, but we mustn't forget that G1 vintage have more die-cast metal. Longer lasting & sturdier than plastic. You just have to find G1 kept in nice condition.
vectorA3 wrote:I'm not saying they don't have it. But I know that Hasbro cheaps out & sneaks plastic into some of them. The Insecticon reissues --they didn't seem like they had as much diecast as vintage. Maybe they did, but they felt lighter to me.
Out of curiosity since I recently acquired him - does the re-issue Tracks have as much diecast as the OG??
vectorA3 wrote:So which re-issues DID skimp out on the metal?? Looks like none of the ones I mentioned had what I suspected.
REMINATOR wrote:For me, I only pick up Reissues that are identical to the vintage. I'm not a fan of reissues that have major or minor alteration whether just new color on the eye e.g. Inferno, different shade of colors or material e.g. Encore Bruticus, or slight change to the mold e.g. Omega Supreme face.
For this reason, I'm not a fan of the Encore line. I prefer the 1st reissue.
As a result, I usually pick up the vintage one from ebay especially misb if the price isn't that skyrocket.

Me too. I wonder how many of the Targetmaster and Headmaster molds are still usable?
Jazz-1982 wrote:No way! I didn't know that. A Fortress Maximus reissue? Sounds like we were so close to getting him.....Wonder how much one of those would have gone for.
