Hi,
I'm just wondering if there is anyone out there like me who wants to know what exactly is an "official Transformer." Is a TakaraTomy, Henkei, or Binaltech product considered an "official Transformer"? What about the Star Wars original Crossovers and the new Clone Wars packaged Star Wars Crossovers? What about the new Marvel Crossovers? And still, what about the new MicroMasters line? The reason I ask is because while I pretty much consider seibertron.com the gospel regarding Transformers, Seibertron himself (Ryan) is even missing some of the Hasbro released figures (Cybertron Scout Lugnutz, Cybertron Voyager Wing Saber, etc.) Unfortunately, I have also noticed that what is supposedly the official listing of Transformers, found at
http://www.hasbro.com/transformers/defa ... /Checklist is also incomplete. With that being said, how can I ever make sure I am not missing any of the official Transformers?
-I know, I know, it's not about whether they're really official Transformers, it's about collecting what we like right? C'mon, who doesn't want MP Thundercracker or Henkei Dirge and Henkei Thrust?!! But still...
A good example is the Alternators Transformers line... With Binaltech making a bunch of variants and even the few different US color variants of some of the same figure (Meister aka Jazz), just what the heck was "official"?
Also, C'mon, we need to populate the Star Wars Crossovers galleries with all of the Star Wars Crossover figures. There are differences between the old and new (Clone Wars) versions. They are not all just repaints. Some have different heads!
All you fellow Seibertronians out there, please comment!!
