Agreed. He is brighter than I expected but nevertheless he is still my favorite classic re-release.

When you say polished, do you mean the mechanics function better than Hasbro's version?
I do not have the Henkei version, yet, so I can not attest to the figure. I do however think Hasbro's is more Cartoon accurate, but still right on.
This picture shows how his animation model was more of a blue-ish purple instead of a darker violet purple which was used.
What I find interesting, and you should look it up also, is the Henkei color scheme appeared multiple times in the Marvel Comics. Mabey Takara wasn't going for toon accuracy this time, but rather comic...
