with out the box, how can you identify a wheeljack ko without a true original to compare it with...

the reason i ask is that i just recived a g1 wheeljack from an ebay seller and i think it may be a ko, the quality is pretty good it just seems a little too nice and fresh for what i payed...

like, what should the bottom stamp have on it?

not much help here, but according to the tfwpage regarding this topic: The plastic can be semi translucent in areas. The decals appear to be printed on an inkjet and can be scratched off. The paint is different shades on areas of the figure(also could just be uneven fading). The original thread can be found here

If i remember correctly there are a number of variations of legit wheeljacks out there: some saying just takara, some having both takara and hasbro, some having varying screw patterns, etc.

Identifying a ko wheeljack without a definite legit sitting next to it, may be a daunting task.

Edit: Here is a link discussing the differences in legit wheeljacks, perhaps that can point you in the proper direction.

If it's complete and looks new, it's a KO. Maybe. Sorry I wasn't much use but there wasn't much to go on :wink:

alright thanks you guys, the paint all seems even and good, i guess im not going to worry about it too much, if its that hard to tell then its not really a big deal.

Paint quality, wheel rivets and color of the missile launchers...dull not glossy.

I think the best thing to do is know your seller and whether they are trustworthy or not.

If you trust them, then you should trust what you have is not a ko, unless they told you they were selling you a 're-issue' or ko directly.
