And that day was sometime in 2005 when the Energon Gestalts were released.
Let's go Time Warp again!

If they decided to make him this way we probably wouldn’t have gotten one at all. Just like with Devastator.
Blaster - seriously, you really think that mold is the best option and only hope for a Blaster repaint? Better nothing at all than this.
As for Devastator. The day will come when they bring back modern, updated gestalts. Mark my words.

Energon was an age ago. We've had Alternators, we've had classics, we've had movie-formers. How anyone of discriminating tastes can accept this Cybertron Blaster repaint with enthusiasm is beyond me.

I for one was never able to get (or if I recall correctly even find) Cybertron Soundwave. Second, I just really don’t even see the big deal here, it’s a repaint, SO?!?! First, when was the last time we even got a figure that was a homage, let alone based off Blaster? It wasn’t recent, that’s for sure. Heck, did we even get a G2 Blaster? Second, Blaster was never that important, at least to me.

Classics don't reveal any great upgrade to the toy tech.
