But it's the best way to go. Surly there are bot commanders you alwaysn otice in your missions neliz? PM them, MSN if they happen to have their MSN address on show in these forums. Work with them, make friends with the, and see what happens.
And if you need help taking things from there, I know Im not the only member of the RDD who'd love to see an oposite who we can really work a rivalry with.
And that we have tried, for about a few months up to the reset I had a group of five to six guys with similar levels (for the missions ranges at that time, from 0 to 3.) It went pretty well with rivalry, teambuilding etc. We did this all as AWC members but without any backlink to the AWC.
Then the Reset happened, on a Saturday night they ask me if I want to be part of a new sub faction. The old group quickly got together and with some AWC old-timers we had a new upstart sub-faction, the ASF. But what happens? We get blasted here that we should go back to the AWC and that this "in-fighting" is not necessary. Well excuse me, there is no in-fighting if there are no active members.
But then real-life gets in the way, the US army decides to relocate the head of the ASF. I'm having a baby and the rest of the guys don't have time. So, all in all.. second dead project.
The people that are left playing simply cannot find the time to run a full faction and coordination through recruiters (sourcing) is even worse since the last attempt at such a thing (level counseling) was pitched last year and died. Hell, last forum post in the AWC forum that was HMW related? November 7th.
You guys are vastly overestimating the amount of players that "play to win" versus the "play for fun." The structures have been tried and a militaristic approach simply is wasted on people that don't want to dedicate real-life time to a "stupid" game.
We've got everything in place that needs to be there. Set-up guides, Mission support rules but honestly, no bot cares about them as it's a fun game, and with all "serious" players lumping together in other factions it just confirms that a small group of well-communicating players is able to defeat a larger "loose" force.
I've tried my best for a year now and it simply doesn't work in the long run since being forced to play HMW with a specific set of people following specific rules and not very much the Autobot way, we enjoy.. you know.. our Freedom.
