That's actually a fantastic deal. Even with the cost of buying the parts you need to complete it, it's going to be significantly less than buying a complete Predaking.

Buy the KO for the missing parts, get a little bit of paint, and you've got a full set. And for a whole hell of a lot less than what you'd pay for it being complete.

As in, KO parts are shady to use for the following reasons:

You will always know that your Predaking is not 100% real and will cheapen the figure for you.

I also do not personally appreciate the sue of KO parts as KO parts appea to be becoming more common with ebay. Case in point is my recently purchased MIB Reflector. I got him, looked him over and he is in awesome shape. And then I noticed, the guns are ALL KOs from the Chinese release.

Hence, in my opinion, as collectors, we should not be encopuraging the use of KO parts to complete figures.

No offense, but your opinion doesn't work for everyone. Some might agree, some might not.

I don't find the KO parts to be depreciative of value, because it's worth more to *me* complete, no matter how it got that way.

No matter how you look at it, it will never cheapen it for me, and neither will your view point.

While you should've been informed that the parts were KOs (it's only right), most people are honest about it, and if I ever had a figure that was made of real and KO parts mixed together, I'd damn sure tell the buyer that's what the deal is.

And what's wrong with encouraging people to fix their *own* collection pieces with KO parts? What if they can't find the real deal, or they're too expensive? (part of the reason I quit G1 and never looked back. It's ridiculous.) It's not like they're harming anyone (especially you, and including themselves... you act as though it's a life or death thing.)

You're more than welcome to dislike the practice, but you gotta be careful when flinging around that opinion of your's. It's encroaching into other's personal space, and that's not right.

I'm making an assumption that these are all the plastic variations and not the diecast versions?

If you got diecast, you truly did get the deal of the century.

Actually, that would appear to be you throwing around an opinion with vehemence like its a life or death thing. I'm just warning the guy to think it over, as he might regret the KO parts later. You, however, use terms like "ridiculous, life or death" which would actually lay more credence with you over reacting to the issue. Maybe you hate the fact that you use KO parts and are projecting?

Okay, I prefer vintage too, but I can see that KO parts can have their place in some things that are impossible to find.

I would think that you would be able to find a loose PK head, and fist at a toy show, or online long before you found a KO PK.

Or has the KO PK become locally available?

I think KOs have their place. Some of them are fun colors, or crazy resizes of some of our favorites, and they can be used to flesh out armies, or for some interesting variants of favorite molds for display, but for refurbishing something G1 vintage, I would lean toward finding a G1 vintage part, especially when they are able to be found if you look.

That is my opinion though. I respect Autobot32 for offering an alternative. What I believe, what Bonger believes, what AB32 believes means nothing.

It's what vnutz wants to do with the info that's important.

BTW: in the pic Headstrong and TANTRUM are on backwards... :P Vnutz, I'm sure that's not your pic, but the seller's pic...
