hmmm ... probably could introduce Jim Hammond as an android, whether people would see both Torches as completely separate characters though.

The average movie goer would only be familiar with Johnny "human torch" storm. The original works as a nod for comic fans but I'm not sure it works for a character.

Yeah, I don't think they'll be using him in the MCU beyond the little nod he got in Captain America 1.

I don't think it's that black and white. Remember, the upcoming Ant-Man film with Michael Douglas as Hank pym is the final film of Phase 2, not Age of Ultron. I think we'll be learning more about his involvement with Ultron.

It's been stated that stark created ultron. Pym will be lucky to get a name drop. In terms of the mcu it has more impact for Stark to be the one who creates something to nearly destroy them all

On top of that Stark does talk about his mistake of creating Ultron in the trailers.

I did hear somewhere that Hank Pym may have had something to do with Ultron in the MCU though, something about him having worked on something similar in the past, when he was still young, and Stark using that as a basis.

OK, so anyone feel it's likely that Venom will be part of the Guardians of the Galaxy in GOTG2?
I used to think that it's unlikely, since they would first have to establish both Venom and Flash first, but now I'm not that sure. Sure, I would prefer if we had Venom with Eddie kick about as a Spider-Man villain first and then develop into more of an anti-hero before joining with Flash, since that development is kinda needed. But now I don't think so.
The GOTG in the movie are similar to the current team, but without the history behind it, without the whole only being the second team under that name or the connections to the larger Universe (like Drax being a human with a hateboner for Thanos).
And seeing how current Venom is basically a completely different character from Classic Venom, I think that it wouldn't be such a stretch for them do just include him without the previous Spider-Man connection.

I'm guessing Hank Pym is going to have some connection to Howard Stark, and somehow they'll make something that Tony will eventually dust off. Because of what he did at the end of the third Iron Man film, he wants Iron Man to still be able to exist even if he can't be him. But he'll use Pym and his father's expiriments as a basis. But we'll see soon enough.

As for Venom, I could see it happening in GOTG, but he's so closely tied to the Spider-Man mythos that I don't see it working.

Well unless they did the venom saga backwards. Hear me out, agent venom appears in gotg2, then something happens and a Lil later the symbiote is given to spider man (maybe as a plot point in infinity war) then we get a black suit spider movie which brings us full circle to classic venom!

Plus, having Spidey get the Symbiote Suit in Infinity War could be a parrallel to how he originally got it, in the Secret War.

That just might work after all. :-?

That's what I was thinking, they could even introduce that version of spider-woman (she'd fit well in Shield) so spidey could like the colours

Yeah, I would prefer to have him as part of Spider-Man first due to how intervowen and important both are to each other. But recently they seem to be moving him further and further away from there. Heck, his current look has zero resemblence to classic Venom, there isn't even a hint of a spider on him anymore.
The idea of a reverse sage is hilarious though XD

They've already said that Venom isn't planned for GOTG2, James Gunn doesn't want to use him.

Concerning the WWII Captain America Universe. Eons ago, Marvel Comics penned the Indianna Jones Comics, just like Star Wars. Now that both properties are under the Disney, wouldn't it be interesting if we had a Captain America encountering Indy or something to that effect?
