I'm actually sort of flattered that you went back and found one of my Artfire pictures. Gosh, that is an amazing MP. I think my favorite MP so far actually.
It was hard to find decent bot mode pic in the Artfire topic (since the stock images got lost on the server) and I liked the way you had the leg forward like that.

I for one will not really mind if he comes without his gun extensions, help offset the price of being a TTM thing. what I do hope is that he still comes with a mace. His mace is my favorite weapon he used.
Totally in agreement on this. I've already got one Megatron with the stock and silencer, I don't need two with their extra parts sitting in the box. I really hope Optimus 3.0 doesn't come with a trailer...
william-james88 wrote:Shockwave had stickers too guys. And the Con exclusive Lambor also had stickers, which I thought was super cool since it meant I could choose not to have a giant obvious symbol on my beautiful countash.
Shockwave was already mentioned, but are alternate symbols really on the same level as how many stickers it would take to cover MP-36+? There's just no comparison.
Emerje wrote:Second, MP-5 isn't toy accurate in the slightest and I don't know why Will said that.
Because its true. Both have skinny legs, oversized cannon and share a ridiculously similar transformation with the same parts from the gun becoming the same bits of the robot.
Plus they have the red inner legs and silver colour
Dfinitely some colour cues taken from the G1 toy there. Or else the deco would be more like MP 36, which is not the case.
Ok, so then only in the slightest are they similar.

That's a real P38 (with an added 'Con symbol) with MP-5.
Also that G1 Megatron was intentionally mistransformed in bot mode to stick his barrel on his back when it's supposed to be over his right hip. On his back started with the cartoon and comic.

The rest of the gun parts that are in the same places are also in the same place in the cartoon.
As for the colors it's for realism (refer to the image above), not G1 accuracy. This is the same company that made Starscream green after all. Really the only direct, intentional, unique tie MP-5 has to the G1 figure is the red inner legs.

Could import from RobotKingdom, they don't do plugs. Depending on prices I might consider just using a proxy and ordering directly from TTM myself.

Far from it. I know you can't please everyone, nor should you attempt that minefield. Personally though, when I was three watching The Movie, I had to imagine my Ultra Magnus and Galvatron looked like they do onscreen, instead of the reality of them. It's why the only G1 MP I wouldn't hesitate to buy is MP Galvatron. I want what I saw onscreen. Purple and not Grey.
Obviously, different age groups attached to different aspects of Transformers. I always wanted what I saw onscreen to be the figure in my hand. As I've said before, I seriously jumped on to Transformer through The Movie. So I have no affinity to real world altmodes. Which also sways my bias away from them.

Because for the record, us Canadians have more relaxed laws on these gun toys. If we're trying to buy such a thing from a source that has zero laws on the subject (Japan, China) then we should be able to get them sans orange plug. I got my two MP-36's straight from Japan with nothing installed, and that KO Magten from China likewise.

General statement, not blanket. Subtlety of the English Language, as spoken directly by the English. When intent is understood, there is no real need to nitpick, other than to provoke

I have no problem answering questions. English isn't everyone's first language after all, so a barrier is always to be anticipated online.
However there was no "question" at all. Just attempts at condescension and sarcasm. Feeble attempts at that.
Going off-topic seems to be more of a issue here than I encounter anywhere else, even YouTube.
We are discussing MP-36 Megatron in this thread. As I'm not a teacher, here to educate, I won't even acknowledging any other comments from now on as it's a waste of my time.

That assortment looks nice! I wonder if the Quintessons could make it into the MP line as an extra? Akin to Spike, Daniel etc Possibly with MP Galvatron? Or with an outlier like MP Wheelie??

I don't think (whoever responded) understood what MP-36 PLUS was, but if their original stock of 36's didn't then we (Canadians) should be good to go

Wheelie makes the most sense given the size, it would be like the exo suit we got with Bumblebee. As long as they don't pack him with a troop builder like Gnaw anything is fine.

I saw this first thing this morning but was too busy. How is it no one is talking about this? First listing for 36+ is up, BBTS:

Notice the price point, and the details. Of coarse this could just preliminary, but as of right now he IS more expensive, and COULD be coming with nothing....
Compare to their normal 36 listing:

Pre-Orders Listed for Takara Tomy MP-36+ Megatron

- Weapon: Armor Axe
Thanks to a heads up from Seibertronian watchdog Shajaki, we have news that the newly revealed MP-36+ toy inspired Megatron has finally been listed up for pre-order!
The pre-orders come to us from various sponsor sites, with the standard price coming to $249.99, the same price as Dinobot, and $20 more than the original MP-36. Now while the pre-orders have been listed, there is no indication as to what will come with the new figure, seeing as how at the moment BigBadToyStore only says the Megatron figure is included in the set and the TFsource listing only states that he is based on his original toy appearance. Considering he is an exclusive, there is a chance he may come with limited to no accessories, and also a chance that he will come with more, but only time will well.
Let us know what you think of the price for the new MP-36+ below!

I’m curious if the toy-accurate face is the only one he comes with. I already own MP-36 Megatron and I love him to pieces as is but if I didn’t have him but was given this as an option I would hope he came with cartoon-accurate faces.

Crossing my fingers that he comes with comic and/or concept art head just for fun along with the original faces.

I might be wrong since I haven't followed MP-36 and his knockoffs too closely. But, I think the image in Seibertron's article is just a placeholder? I don't believe it actually depicts MP-36+, who appears to have no images on either BBTS or TFSource yet - it may well be a picture of that very KO, though I couldn't say for sure.

Ohh, yeah you're right! As is totally obvious now, I haven't been following MP-36 and his releases very much

Hum, I guess you could phrase it as Takara taking parts from a KO. Personally though, I think it's more likely that Takara decided to do these parts since they're toy-accurate (for the toy-accurate release of the mold), and since it and the KO draw from the exact same source material they look very similar. I highly doubt Takara would actually knock off the parts from the KO.
