We call and explain that we are from Lansing and none of the stores in our area have and would like to know if their store has it. We offer the UPC or Wal-Mart number to make it easier.
It's something that should take no more than a few minutes. We have all the information before hand. We just need to verify stock before we drive 3-4+ hours round trip to pick something up.
I don't mind traveling to get stuff, it's fun but if they don't have anything I want why travel there?

I have no patience for rude employees. I will put the manager smackdown on them fairly quickly, depending on how bad they pissed me off.
