the current stock is deceiving. i mean these have been out for a while and we just got them.

thanks for wiping out our stock!

If it's any consolation I cracked open all but one Soundwave. That's being tucked away. I could have bought everything and then sold it on the interweb. lol

I'm glad to hear you got yours... I was on your route today, so to speak. I had the day off, so I decided to do that route because I had not done it in ages.

I picked up 2x Soundwave re-issue from TRU Ann Arbor. One for a nephew's birthday, and one for me! Last two they had.

I picked up one Tit 6 inch Rodimus to keep sealed.

Found Grand Slam Sigma Six, left the rest of the wave. Another Duke, Kamikura, and Snake Eyes do not appeal to me right now.

Got a Chauncey Billups for display. Gotta' love those Pistons.

Picked up the final Star Wars comic two-pack that I needed.

My Roadbots also came! The 1/12 scale

IS HUGE. The Ford GT is the perfect colors for Tigertracks, just needs very little customizing now... I believe he is about as tall as a Supreme class TF... but he's a car!!!

I also got the Hummer, who with the right head sculpt and some color swapping would make a fantastic Brawn...

And the Celica Tuner. Actually looks about as a close to a seeker as I think you could do with a car. Needs some custom stickers...and a new head...maybe two arm blasters and he would be perfect!

A couple Roadbot drawbacks... #1) In car mode the pieces do not seem to fit in together seemlessly as they should, probably why they are packaged in robot mode, #2) All the extra pieces that you take off for robot mode, and attach in car mode... Lose them and you have no hopes for an alt mode that looks like a car.

We need to branch out sometimes, since the most of us shop in the same stores.

TT, did you find the Chauncey at retail or did you order him?

What's a royal guard TIE interceptor, and what makes it different from a regular TIE interceptor? :???: :-? :?

I went to the Jackson Toys R Us and Target, they had pretty much nothing. No Soundwave re-issue, no Ramjet/CJ or new 6" Titaniums.

No big deal, I am pretty much all up to date anyway. I have all the recent 6" Titaniums in my pile of loot at BBTS.

Target did have about 15 Ultra Magnus/Skywarp sets.

on the road bots, do you think the company actually has the rights to the cars? i mean they've got a whole bunch, ford, mitsu, toyota, etc.

wonder how happy well pulled that off?

we need some pictures of the little alternators with the big weapons that those guys have.

YES!!!! (Although I also have one I ordered from BBTS). I think I found him at the TRU in Ann Arbor.

I believe they are licensed. Each vehicle has all the companies' names, heck even the 1:12 Tigertracks has a small FORD symbol on his head (behind glass in his helmet--I'm going to use permanent marker on it to get rid of it!). NO I believe these are official. The boxes have the car's name very largely and clearly displayed on the box.

I don't think that the Alts could hold the weapons. The Roadbots have a hard enough time holding them themselves. Most of the handles are much larger too! 'Brawn's' hammer and 'Tigertrack's' staff would certainly be too much. Picture the MARVEL characters trying to wield Thor's hammer when they are not the rightful owner. Kind of like Inuyasha trying to wield his fixed tetsaiga...

Thanks for sharing all the updates guys so I was able to get something for my nephew's birthday that he really wanted! :P

no wonder i didn't think the chauncey was rare. i see him all the time there :) i don't keep up with sportspicks, but if there are any regulars/variants you guys want me to keep a look out for, post some pictures/links.

that's surprising if they actually got a real license. i was reading the bbts blurb and i guess they're not as small a company as i thought they were. why can't hasbro get licenses then? or maybe they just don't bother ... hmm ...

small bots with big swords ... i mean what's not to like :) too bad they're not compatible.

Usually the players from Detroit are harder to find (even the suckey ones!!!) in this area, due to well, the sports collector's stores trying to find them and fill orders for customers.

Yes, I am looking for the blue jerseyed Isaiah Thomas variant. Never seen Isaiah in any stores...I got mine from BBTS, but no variant.

Never saw a Rip in stores, never saw the Barry Sanders variant in stores, Ben Wallace variant never saw in stores...that's how it rolls around here, same in any sports market area, I'm sure.

I want a #84 Pistons Chris Webber repaint of his old Kings figure. C'mon Todd!!!

And with so many Kobes, Carmelos, Lebrons, etc. produced, don't you guys think that Tayshaun Prince deserves a figure??

And a McDyess repaint, I would love one of those too!!

C'mon beef up the Detroit sports collectors market McFarlane...

I picked up 4 of those really cheap Optimus Prime KO's from Dollar Tree today, I haven't opened any yet going to here in a few minutes. I finally snagged a Minga (Tech Dude) at Meijer #23 along with a Cybertron Blurr to open.

WalMart on W. Saginaw in Lansing had a Ramjet, Cliffjumper and a 6" Soundwave.

Edit:

The KO's were really cheap but for $1 not bad at all, good to practice my painting skills on :)

Blurr, wow...what a huge disappointment.

Noob, How long have you been kicking it in A2? I've been hitting stores here since 86' when I had to force my father to drive me around looking for G-1's. Thank god there's a lot more stores now. I was in heaven when the second Meijers went in, then Target, and so... ah, good times

There is a Zetterberg & Verlander figure on the way. It would be nice if they did the team 3 pack like they did w/ some of the other sports and do a Tayshaun & a C. Webb in it

And I will probably never see either of them. If I'm not mistaken three is a Sheffield figure out there, so they could do I Tigers three pack, Verlander, Pudge and Sheffield.

Zumaya certainly deserves a figure too!

sadly for far too long. not as long as 86 though.

are you still here, or have you moved on to the greener pastures?

i've only seen 3 packs for football. pistons are probably one of the few teams where a nice 5 packs would work, all the starters.

In Richmond and Chesterfield, I think won the award for most PATHETIC in TF hunting.

For the past several weeks, nothing new was put on, just a few Cybertron Smokescreens, Beast Primes, and Downshifts; along with classics minicons but ZERO classics. Hell, even the normal Sta Wars junk was lacking more than usual.

I'm out in Washington, DC right now. will be here until friday. it's snowing to beat all hell. At least the empire strikes back is on HBO. if it wasn't snowing, I'm within walking distance of the capitol building. but it's really crappy and windy right now. Don't think I'll have a chance for any TF hunting out here. I doubt there is a wal-mart at the capitol  there were two ramjets and a few cliffjumpers at the target on ann arbor/saline road last night.

I take it back.. there is actually two walmarts very close to my hotel. .8 miles and 1.1 miles. I swear there is a wal-mart about a quarter of a mile from the white house! who knew? the green arrow is where I'm staying... A and B are wal-marts.

My girl and I went on a little road trip today and hit the Novi TRU - not really much there, I picked up a Cybertron Smokescreen to open since Blurr was so disappointing last night...well Blurr is awesome compared to Smokescreen :(

From Novi we went to TRU in Ann Arbor, same deal not really much. They had one Soundwave re-issue but I left it.

Hit the usual stores around town WalMart in Okemos as well as Meijer and TRU in Okemos, not much of anything except the WalMart in Okemos had a 6" Rodimus and Soundwave.

No, nothing at all really. I have everything that is current. It was just a weird Sunday because we couldn't think of any place to go because there are no new toys so we figured we would go on an adventure.

It was fun and killed 4-5 hours.
