So big that he is a good opponent for all the autobots, especially leader prime. How could you pass that up? And then, well, if you can find him, then you have an oportunity that many many people dont, because I havent seen him on shelves in months now, since before the movie came out.Raymond101 wrote:Auto Bot wrote:
Is there a leader class in Classics line?
For the leader class Movie toys, Megatron is a total disappointment, in whatever mode you can get him into. Even in Gerwalk mode!(kidding) Prime looks good, especially in vehicle mode. The bot mode is not bad, although largely inaccurate compared to the movie design. But not too bad. I can live with that. Brawl, which i haven't seen the real toy yet, looks very promising. From Ryan's picture gallery, i can see a lot of major improvements from its Deluxe toy. This could be the best Leader toy. If only i can buy him soon.
I think he meant that Classics was a great line that had no neccessity for expensive Leaders or Supremes.
I personally have no problem with Leader Prime's robot mode because I like bulkiness.
Yeah, and on me HAVING to get Megs, yeah, Leader Prime and my Autobot team are looking very lonely without Megatron to fight. I think I'll be compelled to buy him sooner or later.
Raymond101 wrote:Hmm, I'll go look for him sometime then.
What size screwdriver do you need to take away the spring on his fusion cannon and put that spring into the whip claw arm?

I disagree on the "well-assembled" bit. The kibble on this arms keeps falling down. And i mean, right out of the box! Generally, arms, feet, wings have design and quality issues. Pls see my earlier post on this thread for more info. Just scroll up a bit.

I think you got a busted one bro, because nothing flops over on my megatron. Nothing is loose. Everything lines up like it should too. Nothing pops out or refuses to stay in place.
And yeah, I heard you can take the spring and put it into the claw arm to make it shoot out. Im gonna try it out. Can't really make the gimmick worse, you know? ;P

Yeah, Classics don't have Leader class. But i do wish it have. Or at least something in between Leader and Voyager. Have you noticed Prime is too small? Robot too small against Megatron. And alt mode too small compared to the other Autobots. Current Classics Prime can possibly be too big if it goes Leader. But maybe it can grow just a bit to match the other Autobot vehicles, and add a Trailer, so that it can fit into the Leader class bulkiness.
Auto Bot wrote:Seriuosly, how do you transform Megatron's legs/thighs decently? I mean without plastics chipping off, or external plastic parts sliding forcibly against each other.

I love that ldea! Improving your Megs!
Ya know Raymond101 about HAVING to buy him; I'm guilty of that myself. I went to Toys-R-Us just to buy L-Optimus, but figured what the hey? They're both here. I'll feel better that I've completed the set. So even though I'm disatisfied with the product in general, I still have a sense of satisfaction in knowing that my collection is complete.
Toyotus Superion wrote:Classics prime is really small compared to all of the rest. He isnt to scale. The truck is way to small and he should be taller than most autobots. And I will let you guys know later on today, when I change the spring thing. As for the "pants", do you mean the little rubber parts on this leg by the waist? I dont have any plastic rubbing or chipping anywhere on his leg transformation. You may be doing it wrong, or backwards. its a tight fit, but nothing should be breaking. I would consider buying another one and sticking the first one in that box to return it.

I'm totally confused on how to TF the legs smoothly as well. The pants on mine are starting to turn white from the plastic being stressed.

I don't think there's anything wrong with no Leader Classes. Just look at Jetfire - one of the best figures in the classics line but no one complains about him not being Leader class. Also Optimus Prime is not meant to be neccessrily big in Classics, just more of a classic, decent warrior.
Mind you I don't have a single Classics figure, I'm just happy to know one when I see one after being confused the heck out of it by the packaging on the toys. =/ I seriously thought Classics were RID for a while

Uhm... i have a bit of a comment on your photos.
I could be wrong. But it seems you may not have transformed his thighs correctly, or incomplete.
I notice in the middle picture, before the feet goes under the wings, i can see the screws near the crotch area. Which only means, in jet mode, you'll still see the screws just under the tail.
From the pictures i've seen, and the picture on the box, it should be the golden "<" on the upside. For each thigh. The screw should go under.
What do you think?
No wonder you don't see scrapings. Because you didn't transform that part to come right side up.

yeah i noticed that when i was transforming it. I tried it both ways and it didnt matter or make a difference. It just depends on if you want his alt mode to show screws, or his robot mode to show screws. You could always have it facing the gold way, but you would need to twist it everytime.
