My TFP loot from Japan and HK

Postby TFhunter » Mon Apr 16, 2012 1:05 am

Hey guys, I Just came back from Japan and HK yesterday and still feeling a little jet lag. I was calculating and sorting out the TFP loot and decided to take a few snap shots. There are some non-transformers in the shot but no biggie since they are not blocking anything.

To help out a fellow TF collector, I bought an extra set of Takara Tomy AM-01 Optimus with JP exclusive Firebolt Minicon, AM-02 Bumblebee, and AM-04 Ratchet for sell as a whole.

All three figures comes with their own Arms Micron which would combine into a "Star Saber" weapon shown toward the end of the JP commerical. If anyone interested let me know as I will be putting the set up on ebay in a few days.

I also have an extra Takara Tomy First Edition Voyager Bulkhead for sell if anyone interested.

I had the FE stuff ordered and stored in a buddy's house a while back. If you know your way around Japan (specialty stores) you can still find some. I hunted down the Takara FE OP in Den Den and paid a pretty penny for it.

Yeah, it's him alright. I did wanted to get another to sell to a fellow collector but retail prices in Asia are higher than the US, it wasn't worth the hassle since I don't think anyone cares or willing to pay.

Awesome haul. Love Japan. Dropped $1200 at one store in Akihabara, then spent the rest of the week eating noodles from the local 7/11. Good times

I spent quite a bit of time noodle shop hopping. This is one of the shop I went to (rated #1 in Tokyo by the Japan TV station), the noodle was awesome.

Stuff there may look nice and all, but it's more expensive there. Well, you get the Takara stuff for non-import prices if you live in the US, but if you live in Asia, the TFs in Japan are just real expensive. Somehow, last time i went to japan, i think i spent around $400 SG buying TFs... (not that much compared to the spendings of others. XD)

depends on where you go. I've bought plenty of TF's at the same, or slightly cheaper than retail (when compared to what I'd normally pay back at home). I was lucky enough to get some real bargains when i was there. ($5 for movie Voyagers, $100 for SG Rodimus still in baggy) there was of course the crazy figures like doubledealer who was going for $600 US, etc etc. Shop with your head and you won't get burnt.
