I'm thinking about adding a Nightwatch Optimus Prime to my movie collection, want some opinions on the figure? What color is his projectile? What color are the LEDs for the chest and eyes?

The LED's in the lights and chest are yellow/orange. And I believe the missile he fires is purple-ish. Don't know exactly cause I don't own him. I don't even have Leader Prime at the moment :-(

I bought him but kept him MISB. I have the original OOP so no need to open a second one just repainted.

I think it all depends upon how important color is to you. If you don't mind the Allspark blue, and you're a fan of the Ultra Magnus deco, he's probably a good buy. I was trying to decide between him and the original Movie Prime a while back, and went with the original OP, because it's a more realistic paint scheme. Also, Original OP goes with my other figs, since I don't have any from Allspark. But I still may get him someday.

The projectile and his headlights are black I believe.

Great question for me!!! I bought this bad boy just a few nights ago and my friend, you should not hesitate to pick him up. This toy totally changed how i thought about leader Prime and IMO is twice the goodness the normal could ever be. As far as projectile/window colors its not quite black but a very dark purple. But you know what i don't think i have to convince you anymore, just check out this pic and i'm sure you'll make the right decision :wink:

I have one sealed and one opened.

Color-wise, he's much better than I thought he would be. The lights are a yellowish-orange and the missile is purple. His flame patterns look great and he really works well in vehicle mode. Plus, this is still one of the best molds of Prime ever.

Totally agree-excellent Prime mold. IMO, best of the Movie line too. I don't have the NW Prime but might get him at some point since I'm so happy with the original.

I just picked him up and I have to say he looks fantastic, expecially out of the box. I love the mold, particularly the truck mode. I have the original version and they look great together. Get him, you wont be disappointed.

Alright, I gave into peer pressure and bought NW OP over the weekend. He looks great next to standard Leader OP. I'll do better comparisons later in the week, only had enough time to free him from the plastic ties tonight and finish transforming his feet. . .

I only bought this dude last week - that's because I already have the UK version. I have to say, they're both pretty similar except for whereas the US version as electric 'allspark' blue and gold trim, the UK version has bronze and black trim.

As far as I can see, both US and UK Nightwatch Primes are identical in truck mode... except for the fact that the clear plastic parts (windshield, eyes, missile) are a lot darker on the Uk version.
