Wait, KB is going out of business? If so, THAT should be in the news section so I can run to every local KB and grab discounted TFs and King Kong figures and stuff.
Well, they aren't going belly up just yet, but over the cast few years they've had to shut down half their stores. Probably because people aren't interested in paying higher prices for older toys.
Autobot032 wrote:megatroptimus wrote:tyler1451 wrote:megatroptimus wrote:Why in the world would you go through all the trouble of sending something back to Hasbro when you could have just return it to the store to exchange it or get a full refund!?
hmm... maybe because tru's policy is 30 days b4 receipt expires?
It could have been easily exchanged at Wal-Mart without a receipt, as long as you kept the packaging.
Wait.
Let me get this straight...
You complain about Sto-Vo-Kor getting Ultimate Bumblebee for $20.00 and claimed he should know better.
You (rightfully) got angry about the guy admitting he stole a Movie Voyager from Wal-Mart (iheartarcee I think was the user name, or one of the person's usernames.)
Yet you support this? I could see him buying a brand new one at the same store and using the new receipt to return the broken one... but to actually take it to a competitor and drive their costs up with yet another item they can't sell?
....I seriously don't get you sometimes.
And Tyler...the return policy at TRU is 90 days with receipt in US stores, and according to TRU's Canadian site, it's 45 days with receipt to return online purchases in store. (however, I'm pretty sure that in store purchases are 90 days as that's the company policy.)
All that being said...you could've returned him to the store and at least gotten your money back. Learn from this mistake, never send an item back to Hasbro in the future. It's a worthless move.

Yes, he does. He's the only person on this website that is downright hostile to me.

Well, we had a difference of opinion, and it somehow escalated to electronic fisticuffs. I won't go into it, and I hope he won't either on here, but it's ugly. I get along with just about everyone else on here, though.

The first lesson: Don't trust Hasbro in a situation like this.
The second lesson: Don't throw away the receipt.
The third lesson: Don't throw away the packaging. (at least not for a while)
Make sure you have every option left open, before making a final decision. It'll help you in the future.
Sherade wrote:Well, do what I do. Keep all boxes, receipts, instuctions, etc. Open boxes carefully, buy cutting the bubble to avoid tearing the board. Cut tape along with an Exact-o Knife. And, above all, save the twistie ties.
Not only does it help with collecting and later sales (if at all), it helps returning by having it all ready.

Down_Shift wrote:Ok, so maybe I'm missing something here... why didn't you take it back to where ever you bought it? You can take a welding torch to a figure and bring in back to wal-mart or TRU ect with out a receipt and they will replace the figure for you and smile while they do it.
Oh, take this as a lesson learned. Any toy you find once, especially when it's so early in the line, you will always find again later. If you thought it was hard to find up until the time you found it, you'll see it in troves afterwards. Good thing about Canada at the moment is that we're actually getting more then the States at the moment.
PS, you're sig is waaay to big.
