To me, the "Cube" was kind of like Vector Signa. Able to create life from machines and give them with a spark but as far as why they are all bad ass Transformers I don't know.

People are saying that they were like children and didn't know better, that they needed to be taught.

It would have been nice if the movie had cleared this up. Without any explanation in the film, it looks like the Autobots were risking their life for a device that creates blood thirsty monsters. That's worth dying for.

I think they were not bad, they were just confused...
What I don't understand, why did Nokiabot had a rocket launcher and a mini-gatling?

Same reason that Dew-bot had his refreshment cannons. They adapt what they've got into defense mechanisms.
I'm pretty sure that the idea was that these new robots, being brought abruptly into existence, simply didn't know anything beyond absolute instinct.

Did the Autobots want to bring the All Spark back to Eneregon to repopulate it with more Transformers, or was there more that the All Spark could do?
It would have been nice if half of the bots created were good and they fought eachother. Like a psycho Coke machine duking it out with a peace-loving Pepsi machine!

If you recall, the Autobot's purpose for finding the AllSPark was to destroy it.
When life is created, it is inherintly selfish and destructive. (If you're a Bible reader, you might recall this in the Old Testament.) But to be good, one must be taught good from evil and given the opportunity to choose.
My 2 cents.

Coke machine vs. Pepsi machine, now that's brilliant.
What I noticed was that all the newly created TF's had red eyes. I saw it noted somewhere here in the last month that much like the old cartoon, all the Autobots had blue eyes, and all the Decepticons had red eyes. Seemed to follow suit. If you look back at the G2 comic (and pretty much do away with the Primus origin take that I always held close) the TF's base instinct is cold and machine-like, more along Megatron's path of destroy and conquer. Maybe that's how they all start out. Optimus did go on several times about making choices. Just food for thought.

so they're natural instinct is to kill all in proximity? +_+
I could see that if they were trying to EAT the humans... but .... -_-
also saw someone mention maybe it was cause the cube was reversed engineered from Megatron... but I thought the cube predated Megatron (didn't it create HIM?). or implying that soda machine was reverse engineered from him?
hmm...actually ok. I'll buy that for lack of a better explanation. :p

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! My earlier post, yet again:

Best, and most feasible answer.
Not only that, but at Botcon, during one of the panels with the writers (I think it was the second panel, but I could be wrong), they said that this is in fact the correct reason.
Case closed.
But seriously, new threads asking this exact same question are getting started every few hours. The last one is still at the bottom of the movie forum's first page. Not to be rude, but people need to start obeying rule seven of this forum:
7. Do not make duplicate threads.
When you want to make a new thread, do a quick search using the 'search' button at the top of the page (if it is functioning). When searching for any given term, make sure to click on 'search for all terms', or you will get pages of unrelated posts. If there is already a thread on that subject, post to it instead of making a new thread. If multiple threads on the same subject are discovered, the odds are that one of them will be locked. If your post is locked please do not make duplicate threads of the same subject as it was locked for a reason.
