I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the Robot Masters series of toys (found in the galleries here http://www.seibertron.com/toys/index.php?f_series=33). The reason I ask is because I have not seen them before, but believe I have found some KOs of them in a fairly well known UK store. Thanks in advance.

After further examination of the galleries here, they look like a KO series anyway. So does that mean I've found knock-offs of knock-offs?

First, they’re not knock-offs they’re real TFs. Ryan has already said there will be no galleries of KOs on Seibertron except for Frenzy (I forgot, but there was a specific reason why).

Anyway, they were released a couple years back and only sold in Japan by Takara, the line was mostly repaints, but did have a couple new moulds.

Some of the Robotmaster figures have been KO'd, but the packaging is usually a tell-tale sign if it is, as well as a few missed paint aps here or there, different stickers.

The only KO's of Robotmasters I have are of Star Saber and Victory Leo. Pretty decent KO's, look pretty close to the real thing, but are missing paint aps. One thing I have heard is that the KO's plastic is almost as good as the real Star Saber and Victory Leo, which actually isn't realy a good thing. I've heard that Star Saber's sword hilt is easily broken, but I don't know cause I don't have the real versions.

In general, the Star Saber/Victory Leo molds are pretty cool, lots of fun in my opinion, but aren't as posable as they could have been.

Robot Masters are excellent, but they are more or less KO quality because the plastic tends to be flimsy. The Robot Masters Seekers though are top of the line, the Star Saber/Victory Leo are great, as is Beast Megatron.

I knew they were definitely KOs the moment I saw them, but wasn't sure what they were KOs of. The ones I saw looked like they could have been any of the following:
Air Hunter
Delta Seeker
Wingstun
X-Gunner
However, they were packaged straight into robot mode, with no pictures of the Alt. And unfortunately, I can't remember a thing about how they exactly looked, other than that they were planes.

I may pick them up next time I go, just to see what they are like.
