Rubbing alchohol/Clear coat

Can someone tell me what typpe of rubbing alcohol works on removing paint from TF toys? I had heard it was 90%. Is that right?

Lighter fluid works too, just be careful with thin plastic.

Rubbing alchohol will work, but trust me get a bottle of Ronsol, the kind you'd use in a Zippo. The stuff for the grill has a high grease content, so you don't wanna use that.

But believe me, it's used as a cleanser more than you'd thing and one more thing, rubbing alchohol is just as flamible.

Why wouldn't you just use something like a testor's paint thinner?
Seems to have worked just fine anytime I've removed paint from a figure.

Just back from the store, all I could find is 91% rubbing alcohol. That will do the trick, right?

I've been thinking of using this trick to remove some of the battle damage off my 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime. Anything think this is a good idea?

also intersted to hear about clear coat ive got a can of plsti-kote clear super- think that will work
