Should Toaster be revisited in the future?

Should Toaster be revisited in the future?

Postby Basketball Jones » Sun Apr 22, 2007 4:55 pm

Toaster, sibling to Blaster, was a creation of Simon Furman with the capacity to transform into a toaster of varying size.

He met his end in a memorable struggle with Galvatron and has remained dead to this day, a feat repeated by few other Transformers.

While a Classics Toaster would have been a welcome update, the end of the line seems to make that improbable. Perhaps a Titanium or Real Gears Toaster would be an appropriate update.

In accordance with other Toaster fans, I would eagerly purchase a Masterpiece Toaster or an IDW-designed Spotlight: Toaster comic.

Weapon: Turret Gun
oh god no - it conjures up images of the talky toaster from red dwarf.

But it is quite an unusual object former - watchout hes packing crumpets!

Whenever they finally decide to create an actual Toaster figure - as fan demand is simply ravenous - he wouldn't be complete without his trusty bread minions, Flaky and Crumble. Hasbro, take notes immediately.

In a long line of Iconic Characters that could be remade in the Masterpiece line, I don't see a Toaster making the cut any time in the next 10 decades.

Maybe an obscure movie tie-in figure, but nothing more.

That was my line of thinking.

The real gear line seems to be getting better and better, and If it is really succesful I can see Hasbro developing some kind of "Toy Story" based animated series with everyday items transforming instead of having vehicles as the lead characters in the not too distant future.

The best thing is, the names write themselves!

I think people would buy a toaster transformer. Look at Shortround, he became an instant fan favorite when it was discovered he was unofficially a triple changer. Everyone wanted the toilet transformer.

I thought people bought him because he broke the 4th wall and collected TF toys himself.

I don't have any pictures taken of him in toilet mode, but I managed to pull these from the google for you.

I'm still not 100% certain that this fan made transformation was "accidental".
