theres a lot of complaining about the movie toys and now to a lesser degree the animation toys. Im no major movie toy fan but most of them arent to bad, they arent revolting pieces of trash by a mile, i just wouldnt spend $$ on them. there are toys out there that i cannot bear to look at even, when i see them they make me think for a brief moment 'why do i collect toys??'

which TF toys do you really feel need to be ground into chips and used as fuel. Heres a few of mine:

RID prowl, sideburn, x-brawn.

Beast machines silverbolt, supreme cheetor.

the animorphs generally.

G1 combiners except Predaking

most of the Beast Machines toys. Besides looking awkward, what's with the strange colour schemes?
Oh, and G2 toys hurt me eyes.

I really like devestator and of course menasaur(sp). Predaking...he's season three, and I don't care for season three all that much nore for the characters in it.

Now that's just stupid. Why are G1 characters considered holy? It's like all those people saying "A mass-shifting TF is stupid... unless its Megatron... and Soundwave." or "A yellow F-15? That's ugly!! F-15 Jets can only be white/red, blue/red or black/purple!"

How come those old geezers always get excluded from the fanhate? Sure, they were the originals, but there's plenty of crap in G1 as well. What makes you think Shockwave's lens head is cool and other lenses suck?

thats interesting, my eyesore TF include no G1 (well, none that i can think of) even freaky ugly wheelie has some type of endearing quality, a toy like rid prowl has zilch going for it. I uderstand blurr has a weird factor but I so like that figure. Thats not even nostalgia BTW, i never saw that toy until a few years ago and im at the older end of TF fandom.

I dont like or dislike a toy because of the name on the box/the series/nostalgia, subjectivity aside a good design and a bad design can be recognised and not all TF are nice designs despite including some of the greatest toys ever made.

No, my bad, this hasn’t been brought up before, there just seems to be a lot of threads about how people dislike a lot of tf’s, it’s a good thread, I tend to get in tizzy when people start to call them ugly for one reason or another.

neckoman, well i will say quite happily that silverbolt IS ugly!!!!

i understand your dislike of bitchin threads, im talking about genuinely (by most standards) awful toys, im not one to start crying 'animated is MEH 'cos it aint wot i was used to'.

I think well agree that those type of comments are no good for anybody.

I find a lot of the universe paint jobs to be....unpleasant.
But I don't like complaining about a transformer if I don't own it and/or have interacted with it.
