TF:A Leader Ultra Magnus... Invisible?

Postby Rocketeer » Fri Mar 21, 2008 1:02 pm

Has anyone noticed how there's all these previews of the Voyager and Deluxe Animated TFs, and yet there were no previews of the Leaders?

And then they let us see Leader Class Bulkhead.

And then came Leader Megatron and Supreme Optimus.

All these previews, but we have one strange absence:
Leader-class Ultra Magnus

Why is Hasbro being so scretive about this?
Is Ultra Magnus not fully designed yet?
Are they waiting for some big event?
Or is he going to be sucky figure?

As someone who's chomping at the bit to get his hands on an Animated Prowl and a Leader Magnus... I think I'm getting a bit paranoid here.

Well, we're not exactly entitled to anything this early, you'll see him obviously when he comes out and definitley in the next month or so. He isn't the only one we've not seen, so relax. Hasbro is not even the one showing us all these guys, their official announcements and pics come at different times, and no one can explain how they do their business, maybe all they have so far of Magnus is prototypes, and no official painted version. Maybe soon some scalper or guy from Asia will get hands on something and Magnus appears on an auction site. If not, the toyline isn't that long away, surely you can wait. We just heard about even more toys that could be possibly be coming out, and when everything is finished, there'll probably be dozens of Animated figs we haven't seen or heard about.

Just wait and see.

Well, yes, I understand we're not entitled to see anything.
They don't have to show us anything and all that.

But my point is that we've gotten sneak peeks (official or otherwise) of virtually everything except Leader Magnus.

I just wondered if there was something I'd missed along the way.

Nah, you didn't miss anything. And there actually a few others nothing has been shown of. There has been no Blitzwing or Sentinel Prime shown yet either, two characters who have also made appearances. I understand where you're coming from of course, as we've seen Jazz and Oil Slick, two guys who we had not seen before. But I bet we see something new in the next few weeks, it's practically been that way ever since this began.

I’d say you’ll be seeing him, Blitzwing and a bunch of other season two characters at Botcon.

I'm sorry I don't know much of anything about what happens at Botcon, do they normally show figures there?

Yes, if I recall that’s where we first saw Wal-mart exclusive MP Starscream. Seibertron has an gallery of last years and previous Botcons in the event section.

My thoughts exactly. He will probably be a big reveal

Omega there is always a very popular and important panel at Botcon, and it is HASBRO's. They show teasers of new product, take questions about the future plans for characters and lines, etc. It is usually quite fun, and entertaining.

This year's big reveal was the CLASSICS continuing with some early pics, and the Animated pieces including Soundwave, and dinobots.

Always a big hit, especially since pictures can not be taken and shared online of any of the slides they use in the presentation. 8)

Ah, okay, I did not understand your reply. Usually there are other shows that they want to save the big reveal for as well (Like the San Diego Comic Con) so they do not want the images leaked to spoil it for those folks.
