Weapon: Switch Blade Tail
I had the same thing happen with a different seller. (I can't comment on TFSource, never used 'em)

I ordered Galaxy Force Megatron and it came via UPS in a near perfect shipping box. (No dings, no marks, etc.)

I open up the box and see that Megatron's not only been resealed, but his paperwork came out of the pouch they were in, and the tape on that was torn. And the box had a dented corner, dented quite a bit, in fact.

At first I thought it was from shipping, but then I double checked the shipping box again, and it was pristine compared to the figure's box.

I was less than amused by this, even though I don't keep the boxes, it is nice to receive something that is pristine, even for a little while.

I mean, it's not hard to figure out that the figure was sent that way before it ever hit the shipping carton.

I see both sides of the issue here...

On the one hand: Curt/TFSource sent the item with incredible attention to detail and care.

On the other hand: The item was received in less than stellar condition, and no response (apparently) has been made.

It's not fair to drag Curt's name through the mud if it wasn't his fault, or at least until we hear both sides of the story and then it's proven that he willing sent a crappy item. (We have no proof of such a thing, we have no proof that it was his fault period.)

It's also not fair to pay the money we do, and receive a subpar item, period. Especially at the prices we pay.

However, a little patience goes a long, long way. Let's see what happens on Curt's end, might be surprised.

Yea...

The stuff I have gotten from them has been packed with an absurd amount of care at times.

seriously, they've been nothing but fantastic in both shipping times and packaging.

^^^^Thats what I was about to say! They OVER-packed everything I have ever bought from them! ABSURD amount of care, I was impressed!!

Curt has even helped me in my search for the Gort headmaster I need. Stand-up guy in all of my dealings with him.

Same here. I have always marveled at the over packaging they provide. I wonder if some new employee handled your package. Have you tried contacting Curt for resolution?

Same as Most others have said I have hgad nothing but complete satisfaction when ordering from Tf source. I will defend them to the end. IMO Curt is the man! I see one problem with your response here. I can't find anywhere on there site where they say the package condition is perfect. You are confusing the title of the listing with package condition. If you check most of their other items you can purchase either c-9 condition boxes or Mint condition boxes. You will usualy pay a couple bucks more for Mint boxes. In the MP megatron accessory listing there is no order for a mint condition box, Just one price, and again the listing doesn't state the box condition anywhere that I can see.
If you did indeed ask for a mint condition box then I doubt they would have ignored your request unless it was an oversight or mistake, UNLESS they couldn't fulfill your request. They may have very well sent a mint box and the package may have been damaged in transit. Was the actual shipping carton damaged? If so that may be your answer.
Any way I am sure you will get a good response from Curt.
Let us know how it turns out.

Never mind about the shipping carton condition, I just saw your other post stating the condition.

Except that by the end of the thread, everyone seems to have had their concerns resolved, with the exception of Spacer's fingerprints, which we've established was far more likely to have been courtesy of either Takara or customs...

As many of you stated, the package is well packed with multiple layers, it was delivered by DHL not UPS and I inspected the outside of the box OR any layers of the package and there was no sign shows that it was damaged during the shipping process. However as stated, once I peeled the final layer and there the corner is completely crushed. But what the hell is all the crap and dust doing on the window of the box if this was a brandnew package. I just hate it when someone ships you damage merchandise and not informing you ahead of time. If Curt was as many of you said he was the least I expect some courtesy from him to tell me that the only thing he has left is damage ones :-x

There's your mistake right there. I used to work for DHL, and it would be nothing for someone to open a box, and re-pack it.

TFSource is the best of the lot IMHO. Curt is also a great guy. Never ever had a problem with him, his staff or his stock. Mistakes happen and I am sure that if you explained the situation he will rectify it ASAP. He like all other business owners are nothing without their customers.

Got a response from Curt that this can either be returned for a replacement or refund (From the response it sounds like my note requesting for a good condition package was "oversighted"). So this is going back for either refund or a good package if it's available. This whole thing couldve been easily avoided but whatever...I'm over it.

I had a friend that worked for UPS and they used to play games to see who could throw a box up against a wall the hardest. They also used to ram boxes or run them over with a fork lift. If the box was damaged too badly they repacked it. Several people got fired after they got caught one time.

I've worked there for 13 years. Boxes do not always get handled gently, but I've never heard of anything like this happening, at least not in my center.

I would imagine and hope that something like that wouldn't happen everywhere, nor would it be an unofficial habitual practice at every UPS center, otherwise nothing would ever get delivered or at least not delivered in a non-destroyed state.

When my friend first told me about what some of the guys were doing, it kind of reminded me of that Jiffy Express commercial from Saturday Night Live.

DHL paid $9.00 an hour, but, if you got more than 3 hours a day, you were considered lucky.

Have you contacted him yet? I have talked to him on many occassions at the conventions and have always heard great things about him as a seller from people on the Seibertron.com forums. I would make sure you contact him first (and do it nicely) ... I would be very surprised if he didn't rectify the situation somehow with you. Just make sure you don't approach him with your fists in the air.

QFT, I am currently exchanging a reissue ultra magnus with Curt because the silver stickers on the cab are poorly applied and were peeling. The item is still MISB but Curt could have told me to f**k off, instead he asked me to send a note with the return and they will find one with better sticker application.

This issue clearly wasnt even remotely his fault and he is still taking care of me.

Again, Curt is the man, cant fault him

That is normal of the grey stickers peeling a bit on the corners on the Ultra Magnus cab on the reissue. Mine is like that also. I've seen all the others like that in toys rus when I bought him back in 2002. It's a minor flaw.

True, but as long as Curt is willing to take another shot at it, I will give it a try.

Hopefully he has one with proper application

Spoke with Curt again and he's willing to refund or replace. I decided to keep cause I pretty much have no time to run to the post office due to busy work and will be away for a couple week. I told him to notify me next time before sending anything less than C9.
