Re: The Official Transformers: Robots In Disguise (Animated Series) Thread
Jazz was fun to see. I like how he was able to give Sideswipe some good advice about not to care a lot about what people think of him. It helps that Ped serves as a example of what would happen if you did care about what people think. Speaking of Ped I love that he's voiced by the same guy who did Mandark from Dextar's Laboratory. lol It makes him pretty funny too considering he looks terrifying and how he's able to be deadly. I'm with those who say that he has a creative design too. In fact I dig how some of the Decepticons have more beast like elements to them and what kind of Cybertronian they are because it helps make for some good world building and helps make them stand out. So I don't get why some people say it's odd and childish that they're like that. I mean what about guys like G1 Sky Lynx,Trypticon and most of the G1 cassetecons? they're animal like cybertronians too.

Madeus Prime, I think that you`re missing the whole point here. Ped knew that he was in fact a worm. The reason why he has arms and legs and real worms don`t, is because Hasbro did it in order to give Ped`s body a humanoid shape, just like all other Transformers do. While real worms are eyeless, earless, and toothless, Hasbro also decided to put eyes, ears, and teeth on Ped`s face and modify it to give him a more beast-like appearance. Therefore, if you really to deal with this situation so badly, I would suggest that you don`t deal with me, but deal with Hasbro instead.

Re: The Official Transformers: Robots In Disguise (Animated Series) Thread
So here's a wild theory.
Suppose it is not Optimus who is contacting Bumbleebee...but Megatron.
Sounds crazy right? But hear me out.
Bumblebee was the first to "see" Optimus there at the memorial pool in episode 1. And his optics dilated in much the same way that they did when Megatron took control of him in TFP "Sick Mind".
As Sabrblade pointed out that is possible a Megatron statue to the left of Optimus
And TFP ended by making a pretty big deal out of Megatron's reformation
"Optimus" first showed up as a projection that only Bumblebee could see, until he showed up on Earth. The same way Bee had been hearing Megatron's voice in TFP
Now Optimus Prime was last seen entering the Well of Allsparks on Cybertron. Logically he should be strongest on Cybertron. Megatron however still has that connection to whatever is left of Unicron in Earth's core. Which is currently being held in check by the Matrix copy from "One Shall Fall". That would potentially give Megatron access to a "copy" of Optimus.
There was that moment between "Optimus" and Underbite where they seemed to nod in recognition to each other.
And then it is revealed that Bumblebee was patrolling Kaon City, Megatron's old stomping ground, in episode 10.
So what if this is Megatron trying to make amends but thinking Bee has no reason to trust him and using the one mech Bee would always trust?

I think you might have misinterpreted some things from the Prime cartoon.Foxbear wrote:Megatron however still has that connection to whatever is left of Unicron in Earth's core. Megatron is no longer connected to Unicron since the guy was completely expelled from Megatron's body into the AllSpark's reliquary. Megatron is at last free.
Unicron is no longer inside the Earth's core, having moved into Megatron's body and then gotten trapped inside the aforementioned reliquary.
There is no "Matrix copy" that was keeping Unicron in check. The power of the Matrix simply put Unicron back to sleep, and the release of the Matrix's energy reverted Optimus to his non-Prime state, with Vector Sigma having simply refilled the Matrix with renewed energy and Optimus's memories of his true self.

Episode 11 is online - http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k6YmwopZByERy4au2Bz
Episode 11 -
Episode starts with Quillfire's capture already in progress.
Quillfire speaks of the Autobots as being oppressive.
His altmode looks like that of Prime Bulkhead, but brown instead of green.
Quillfire considers himself one of the "heroes of the Revolution".
He also leaves his own insignia as a mark of his presence.
Bee's latest "Roll out" fail: "Autobots, roll up... and... and roll up..." (*passes out*)
Bee's been knocked out by one of Quillfire's quills.
The manifest describes Quillfire as an anarchist and an Agent of Chaos, believing there should be no such thing as authority. It also says that his quills contain toxins that affect the nervous systems of those struck, but differently for each target.
And now Bumblebee is acting like a joking kid. Uh oh.
With Bee currently Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs, Strongarm's acting as temporary leader.
Sideswipe is the only one who's genuinely amused by Bee's practical jokes.
Bumblebee is currently stuck the way he is until the toxin from Quillfire's quill runs its course and is no longer active in Bee's system.
Strongarm misunderstanding the word "babysit" in a literal manner reminds me of how Chase would do the same thing in Rescue Bots.
Quillfire releases some elephants from their pen at a carnival, thinking they are oppressed prisoners.
Strongarm's had enough of Bee's pranks and goes alone (with Grimlock) to pursue Quillfire.
Russell and Sideswipe trick Bee into simmering down with a classic Western movie.
Sideswipe's optics start leakin' lubricant.
Fleeber brand lunchmeat might be where Denny got part of his "Nevada Fleeber" alias from.
Bee hears about the carnival Strongarm and Grimlock are investigating and goes off to see it.
Grimlock sits on Bee.
Strongarm wards off the police cars with a false emergency of a "nefarious motorcycle gang making illegal left turns all over downtown."
Bee got away from Grimlock by transforming.
Grimlock takes care of the stampeding elephants, but a couple of them ran off.
Bee and Grimlock round them up "Cowboys and Elephants" style.
While Strongarm and Grimlock are trapped on the tilt-o-whirl, Quillfire hides in a large bouncy tent, where Bee is having a blast.
Strongarm shoots the console to stop the tilt-o-whirl, and Quillfire accidentally shoots himself with his quills.
Strongarm ties Bee up atop a clown tower after letting him think he would be going on an awesome ride.
It takes all night for the toxins to wear off of Bee, who has one ugly headache after a whole night of "waiting for the awesome".
Will Friedle -- Security Guard
Mitchell Whitfield -- TV announcer
Andy Milder -- Quillfire
Oh man, this episode. Was. Hilarious! Like, Animated and Rescue Bots levels of hilarious. Practical Joker Bumblebee was absolutely priceless, and everyone who played off of him was wonderful. Sideswipe was loving Bee's antics, Grimlock was annoyed by them, Strongarm was trying to keep things in an orderly fashion, and Quillfire just had no idea what was going on. Speaking of Quillfire, though we didn't get that much of him thanks to Bee being the show stealer of the episode, his paranoia coupled with his extremist behavior made him a fun addition to the episode. I'd hate to see what would happen if he, Ped, and Springload ever all escaped and joined up together into a fearsome threesome of mad craziness. Twould be complete chaos all around.

That said, from what I see on google and the wiki, he isn't really a worm, and is just called that as an insult because he burrows through the earth like one, at least that's what it sounds like to me from the quote and the description that he's made fun off by the other Decepticons.

I say this every time a new Decepticon-of-the-week is shown, but I really do want a toy of Quillfire. They are really doing a marvelous job to provide deep characterization for each Decepticon in a very short amount of screen time. It helps that the character ideas are kept simple, but there is enough of a strong idea behind each one that it shows through remarkably well.

"Can You Dig It?" was an even better Sideswipe episode than "As the Kospego Commands!" Not only did it provide a mentor for the young 'bot, but he taught him that you can still be cool and follow the rules as Sabrblade pointed out. Meanwhile, holy smokes was Ped's voice just the best!
"Adventures in Bumblebee-sitting" was just as good. The narrative was interesting, but Bumblebee was actually very fun to watch. I could hear Friedle putting on a Ron Stoppable for Bumblebee's youthful predicament, and it was a pleasure. Also,Quillfire, like Ped, had an engaging motive. This is a nice contrast to earlier Decepticons from the series, showing the improving quality from the pilot.

While that was what I assumed at the end of TFP too, there was still the quibble that Megatron was still glowing purple, not red. Also the Aligned verse has always played fast and loose with cannon. So I wouldn't discount the possibility.

Actually TFP made quite the point that it was Unicron's awareness that left Earth with the reformatted Megatron. His body was still trapped in the Earth's core forever and always.

Considering the cartoons have kept their canon 100% in-line, and the fact that Megatron's eyes did return to being red (Megatron never had any other glowing parts prior), I would discount the possibility.
That it mind, why would you egg on a continuity error?

Unicron's lifeless husk. What an amazingly useful tool.

No, it isn't. That was a clear and boldly spelled out part of the season one finale-season two premiere narrative.

Re: The Official Transformers: Robots In Disguise (Animated Series) Thread
Episode #10 was fun than I thought. In this episode, I finally came to the realization that Quillfire is nothing but an animal skinhead extremist who always believes that using animals as food or clothing is a crime and needs to be stop. His mission: kill all human Transformers and free all animal Transformers. Translation, I do believe that Quillfire is a huge fan of PETA, for those of you might not hear about this, stands for People For Ethic Treatments Of Animals. That is why he free all the animals at the zoo. I feel that PETA members will get to love Quillfire as their favorite Transformer. Quillfire in the clip said, "What happened to Hammerstrike, Bisk, Terrashock, Filch, Springload, and Ped will not happen to me!" Unfortunately for Quillfire, he became his own victim at the end.

Unicron doesn't have a body anymore. At least, not one that's still intact and usable. Optimus said that, by the time of the Prime cartoon, Unicron had become a non-corporeal being. All that is truly Unicron is now inside the reliquary.Foxbear wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Unicron is no longer inside the Earth's core, having moved into Megatron's body and then gotten trapped inside the aforementioned reliquary.
Actually TFP made quite the point that it was Unicron's awareness that left Earth with the reformatted Megatron. His body was still trapped in the Earth's core forever and always.

It's really funny hearing Bee sound like Ron Stopabble for a while. lol I also dig how Strongarm proves herself to be a good temporary leader. She's got a good head for it despite being frustrated.

Also, an update from those eyeing the Australian TV schedules. Next week will be the last two episodes of the show to air in this current streak of new episodes, as the weekend after next will have the show's timeslot replaced with Sonic Boom instead.
So those of us who have been watching the show ahead of the U.S. broadcast will probably have to wait until the U.S. Cartoon Network catches up before we can see episode 14.
