I just love these things, in a time when the main line is easily my least favourite since.... ever, its fantastic to have these little guys keeping up the momentum from good work done on Cybertron.

I managed to get my mits on High Score 100, which I think means i now have the origanal version (but as yet none ofthe repaints) of all of the Real Gears, and he's brilliant, insane, but brilliant.

Who ever thought 'I know what, lets make a transformer that goes from concol control pad to a strange white monkey bot' was a genious!

So yeah, who's with me?
Thanks Hasbro for giving us a ray of hope during the otherwise rather dismal and boring movie toy line!

100% agree.

Found myself disappointed with pretty much all of the movie line, but the Real Gears are a shining light in it. Probably because they're similar to the TF's i'm use to, and don't have hideous ugly heads, nor are they embroiled in stupid discussions like "is he black or not?" and "will the black bot be back for TF2?"

Just got Highscore (i don't use the numbers. by the way, why are they called for example Power Up VT6. couldn't they be just called PowerUp, Highscore, SpyShot, Longwiev etc? Those numbers are imbecillic!), and i can't wait to open it (i'm gonna get 'im for christmas). I also wanted speed dial, but it seems that i'll have to wait some more time for him...

i really hate the fact thet speed dial has a face under the lens thing. it looks retarded. so when i het him, i'll never open the face cover he looks much better eithout a face.
This not badass. It's so BAD, it's ASS!

To be honest, SpeedDial's probably the weakest of the bunch, he has VERY high knees, and his legs fall off virtully every time you try and move them. I actully dont mind his head design, though it probably isnt my fav.

It's really hard to pick a favourite, but I think I could whittle it down to 4 must buys; Longview, Meantime, Highscore and zoomout (all 4 of which are rediculously posable for what are basicly scouts), and finally, for the complete and utter homage of it all, Booster *cough* lasorbeak *cough* x10.

I love RG. I have all of Wave 1 exc. for Booster X10, Zoom Out, and Longview. I have High Score 100 and Night Beat from Wave 2. Night Beat is a great mold, I might scoop up Booster X10.

When I saw The Movie the first time in theaters (just before it was gone, shame on me, I know), I was all Real Gear geeked out: Meantime on my wrist, and Speed Dial, Power Up, and Spy Shot in various pockets. Had my wife commented upon this, she might have said something like, "I wish I had more eyes so I could roll them at you." What does she know, anyway? :-B

Ooooooh man are you serious? You wore meantime on your wrist during the movie and had other real gear TFs in your pockets and you are married. Only one thing to say to that...D.O.P.E.!!

You gotta respect that!! A man who does what he wants!!

I'm not happy with the number of repaints, but the original figures are great. There are not enough Transformers that turn into mundane, everyday objects. If you are a robot that doesn't want to draw attention to itself, turning into a pair of binoculars is much more inconspicuous than turning into a big red truck.

Unusally I am actully happy with there being repaints. I want these in alt mode as well as robot mode. I feel more justified buying em if they happen to be 'different' charecters.

I love the real gears, good design, they remind of of the style of TF's that Soundwave, Megatron, Perceptor etc were. Thing formers are cool.

Just got Mean time two days ago and he rocks. I like watches in general and always said to myself if they made a watch TF I would get it. this is my second real gear, my first was spyshot 6 when they first came out and i loved it, releases after that were ok.

next on my list is booster X10 and one of the phone bots, maybe the black decepticon one, kinda looks cooler.

At first I was skeptical on the quality and playability of Real Gears, I was even going to ignore this line totally. But one day my local Walmart had a crazy sale on them so I picked them up. Now I have all the current releases and I don't regret buying them. I am actually genuinely surprised by these little guys, not only they are fun to transform and play with, but they are highly poseable. I took a couple quick snaps of Zoom Out 25X & Power Up VT6 from my random display, here they are for a laugh:

I love booster x10! Can't say much for his alt mode, but in botmode, he's a damn good looking laserbeak. One question though; what the heck is his "gun" supposed to be in altmode? a key?
