Well, I've posted my losses (all four of them: Northclaw's only been in 6 fights so far), just in case it becomes an issue, and before they're lost to the depths of the Internet void. HOWEVER, it is my honest opinion that posting our own losses is a pointless exercise. As far as I remember, we don't recieve any points for defeats, so it's not really in our interests to post them. Just my opinion.

0 points for losses is correct, but they factor into your league score. With 2 wins in 6 fights, that gives you 4 points, your league score however is 0.67 (4/6=0.66667) The best achievable score is 3.00, which is winning every single fight with shutouts.

To me, that works against building a strong community, and says that you're not confident enough in your configuration to win without taking any advantage you can.
By not counting posted loses which would be more work and run the risk of being double counted and skewing the results.

But the loses count. Just like when a sports team loses, it counts in it's games played and there for effects it's standings against the other teams.

I changed my stance? O.o I've always been in favor of posting loses, it's why I've been doing it since the begining. I just didn't want to take a hardline stance and say everyone has to, since it's not my place to say it.
I'm 13-2-0 and proud of it. Halo and Devest8or are the only ones to beat me so far.

We're 1-1 against each other, which is better then most against me.
2-0 with a shutout against Sustain and Omega Charge.

14-2 now with 2 shutouts.

Yes they do count but they are not counted seperatly from wining teams win. When Burn & Pysch count the wins they will also be counting the losses recorded in those wins; to try and count losses posted seperatly is not only extra work checking them against the previosly recorded wins but also runs the risk of corrupting the loss data recorded in those wins.

Ouch. Would have expected mouthy to put his money where his mouth is. Then again, he shouldn't have brought a fragile TIE fighter to a Zoid fight.

The obvious joke was made, so I wont remake it.
However, any woman who can step up to fight, is no longer a woman, she's a fighter, and deserves to be treated as an equal.

Ok... This does not compute to me. Posting your losses as well as your wins tells the total number of matches you've had. For instance, I'm 14-2-0. Out of 16 fights (well, 17 now, but I haven't checked those results yet) I've won 14 and lost 2. If I just posted the 14 wins, without Psychout going through and manually double checking for any loses of mine that weren't posted, or by going through and manually marking my loses that someone else posted, he would only see the 14 fights. Going by just wins, it gives the appearance of my being undefeated and makes my point score look better (30 points in 14 fights is higher then 30 in 16).
So, by posting the losses for Psychout to tally up under your name, it makes less work for him to do later, and makes it more likely that the final tallies will be accurate (assuming that everyone posts all their loses and doesn't "forget" to post one because someone wasn't paying attention to it). Less work=less headache+less chance of mistakes. He's already admitted that his scoring system is complicated, so if we can make it simplier for him to tally stuff, the better.
I'm not saying you have to post the losses if you don't want to, just that I think it'd make it easier for Psychout when it comes time to do the scoring. I got destracted by my girlfriend and the TV and forgot another point... but, at the momment, posting losses is up to the individual as far as I know, so feel free to not post them if that's what you choose to do.

Re: The Smelting Pool is OPEN!!!
He already has the losses tallied up from when he tallies up the wins AZ he doesn't need to have us give him a number which may be inaccurate due entirely to the winners bad reporting. If we give him a loss tally he has to check that tally against his win records before he can even think about using it. Its far better for him to simply take the loss tally from his win tally and avoid that problem all together; just like in your sports analogy.

Except in sports, they count the wins and losses by teams. You don't see a team that's marked as 20 wins, and no loses marked on their score, and you have to look at the other teams to see if they've lost anything. That takes more work and is more likely to produce errors. Go look at your sports section in your local paper. The standings are marked by wins, losses, and depending on the sport, ties. It makes it much easier to see who's doing well and who's not. It will be far easier, and has been proven to be when you look up sports standings, if, when he's looking at individual stats and needs to calculate the league score, if instead of trying to cross match wins and losses against 15 other players, if he can simply see "Oh, they went A-B-C, so their total matches is D."

Edit sorry bout that had a few problems with the site earlier.
However while I took the time to cool my heals I realized something; you have simply misunderstood the rules. Just because you post a loss does not necessarily mean that that loss will be counted. While the likely hood of any single poster having an invalid loss posted is relatively low it is a statistical probability that there will be loss posted that are invalid. This means that Pysch cannot simply look at any individuals loss count and accept it as accurate.
