Lets see. When I first signed up for this site a while ago I originally signed up under the name Spider Prime due to Spider-Man being my favorite super hero. I decided that was pretty lame. So I decided that I needed a new name. I had an idea for one of my HMW characters back stories where the Autobots would engineer the new Prime. They had gone back in time to pick the best parts of all the previous Prime's, along with a bit of Decepticon leaders such as Megatron and Shockwave thrown in, and bring it back with them and engineer and build their new leader. With the Decepticon element thrown in, it was enough Autobot for the Matrix to accept him and enough Decepticon to add a new element. Since I though that this "evolved" the Prime to something a bit different, the natural choice was to name him Evolution Prime. Since I thought that was pretty decent name, I renamed him as such. I am also known, in the same manner Original Sin was, as EEEP. Can't remember who started that little thing. Psychout?

Dynamax/Datamatrix started it. He called me Veep, then I started calling Jesus Prime, Jeep, then any other Prime that joined the MSN convos got the same treatment, except one other Prime from Seibs got a different name, but I won't say that one

It's original incarnation was M'Kall, on some silly little Star Trek forum that I don't remember and I'm sure no longer exists. I tried porting it over to another forum, but that couldn't handle the ' symbol, so I nixxed it and have been Mkall almost everywhere.

Re: The story of your name?
I've been lurking on this and other TF message boards for some time before I started posting. I wanted to choose a transformer that was a bit obscure because I reasoned all of the common names were taken. Around that time, I had purchased a 95% complete Piranacon. Since I was visiting 6 different TF sites, I got the "brilliant" idea to name each user account as one of the members of the Seacons. Since I chose Seibertron to be the main site I'd visit frequently, I named it after the leader of the Seacons, Snaptrap.

My first name, MunicipalxWaste, was just a nod to my favorite band, Municipal Waste. But I changed it since it wasn't really Transformers related. My new name which is a lot more appropriate, isn't at all a reference to the game Twisted Metal. It more or less refers to the Decepticon's brutality.
*Update!*
I changed my name again because I saw my exact name on another forum. Thus I changed my name againto Rastamus Prime.
Now, my new name is just a cross of Rasta- since I love reggae. And Optimus Prime (obviously.)
Ok. That's about it.

1) Many years ago I had a friend that EVERY time we talked our conversations would become rout with sexual innuendo.
2) Every time this happened one of us would say "gutter ball"
3) I started referring to her as the energizer bunny...I'm sure you can figure that one out.
4) Gutter Bunny was born in retaliation
I have held onto it as my nickname almost everywhere ever since.
Unknown to either of us at the time, the term "gutter bunny" is common slang in bicycling-a hobby I do not partake in

Well, the first name I had was Junk-Rat, and that was because...well, I love the Junkions and Rattrap, so there ya go. When I started doing HMW, I decided to call my group the Junk-Rats, so for the sake of not being redundant, I decided to fall back on one of my original TF names I had wanted to use for a couple of fan-fic stories that never came to being completed (stupid Mom erased the floppy they were on -.-'). Anyway, that's how I got my name. Not very eventful, but there it is o.0. And BTW, for anyone named Shockwave: I had no idea anyone had the name until I saw ShockwaveTheLogical on here, so yeah, my bad if you see my character bio on HMW and are made to be uneasy
.

It's never a good idea to tick off a member of a race of beings who can dismantle anything within mere astro-seconds -.-;

Mine was born from the first Transformers board that I tried to register on, the now defunct forums of the Transformers2007Movie site.
I was a long time lurker there, it took around a year for the single moderator there to approve me after I registered.
But anyway, there was a single notorious poster there, one whose online personality was shrill and bold, and who defended G1 Starscream with a venomous passion. Her name was Star_Scream, and one of the things she like to exclaim was 'Sweet Zombie Jesus!'
I was a bit offended by that, so as a slight tweek towards her, I gave myself the username "Zombie Starscream."

Pax is a nod to my Roman Catholic roots. The Xilthalon actually goes back to my Air force days. I was in the NDANG for the duration of my enlistment and during that time, I worked on F-16's. Birds were a big thing for Air force thing and i wanted to incorporate that somehow. I was also in a fraternaty while in college, so I ended up with Xilthalon - which is to mean "crossing talons" (think visually with the Xil). Thalon did not have anything to do with a Christian Rock band that i've recently learned off - but appreciate the flattery none the less.

In the late 90's to a bit past 2000, The local japanese animation group I was part of needed more help working on fan-subs for our monthly showings and trading tapes with other clubs.
I got involved and worked on a number of projects with a couple of different handles until I was pretty much only using Assemble-Edit for both subtitling and on web-forums. It came from the fact that on most of the projects I helped with it was my job to assemble the translated scripts and time-outs, then context edit them into something that that would be somewhat enjoyable to watch.
This would be shortened at times to AE which was fine except that we had a translator whose initials were also AE, and some years back we started participating in a showcase event which in 2003 became a full convention, Anime-Evolution. Again AE. to avoid confusion I just started shorting it down to Editor, and have just that or a variation on it for pretty much everything since.
The use of Simon Pegg on avatars came later after he stole the use of my name on the Dr. Who episode "The Long Game" which is fine because the man is brilliant.

I'm a Grimlock fan, and my first username was Grimlock86.
At HMW, I started on the Decepticon side, and my first character was a black Grimlock.
Also, when the 32nd Grimlock fan with ..Grimlockxyz in their name turned up, I thinked on changing the name, so since I'm chaotic (evil), Chaos + Grimlock -> Chaoslock was the choice.

My name goes back to the time I got into tabletop miniature games. Namely, when Games Workshop released GorkaMorka. I instantly fell in love with that game and madness that is Orks.
My first mob of Orks for GorkaMorka was called The Waaaghabondz (same as my HMW team now, plus they also share the individual character names, too), and the boss of the mob was called Noshrok Grimskull - because I felt it sounded cool and had a proper orkish ring to it.
Ever since, I've been playing Orks (I've got about 5000 points in Warhammer 40k Orks...) and the head honcho was always Noshrok Grimskull.
And since I really like Orks (I sometimes even say that I'm an Ork, too!) I eventually started using Noshrok Grimskull as a username on the net. On just about any message board I join. So if you run into a Noshrok Grimskull out there, I'm pretty sure it'll be me.

Mine is not as interesting as some of yours, but here we go..
Way back in 2000, I joined a Jurassic Park forum and needed a username. So I decided to put the names of two dinosaurs I liked together and use that. Tyrannosaurus and Carnotaurus. Tyrannotaurus is what I got. Sadly that was too long so I shortened it to Tyrannotaur. This worked out and so I kept it and use it for a variety of forums and sites. It also works out randomly that I an a Taurus, Am Awesome and thus a king or Tyrant, and my favorite pokemon is Tyranitar (yes I am a fan of the games). So it just worked out really well and it is original so I just kept it.
Personally I like names that don't have random numbers at the end. The problem is thinking of something that is original and then not taken.

I started out as "Negare Morta" which reflected my then current interest in all things latin (except the gramma -_-') Meaning "she denies death", then a name where it roughly translated to "kill the princess" (for those in the know, I really miss that flamin' guttersnipe), then it was "Plain Ol' Negare". "Poohy Ol' Negare" had a moment when I had a job cleaning up old peoples' poop. And now its "Just Negare".
FYI, my knowledge of Latin is pretty much forgotten, pushed aside by my feeble attempts to learn Mandarin.

My handle here comes from a Transformer I created in Second Life. It was in response to the create your own Transfomer Contest held by Sector 7 the official sim they ran for short while in SL. She did not win but hey I had loads fun creating her, and she was conceptualized, created, scripted, textured, in grand total of 2 weeks. She got little following of fans, we had Team Classy fan club, made racing jackets and the whole nine for her. In the coarse of time she became something of cherished character for me. So I have used her as handle name and still one day plan on writing some fanfic or something for the gal. If you'd like to see what she looked like here link to the video I created for the contest.

I wanted to create fighting femme who wasn't silly little motorcyle, a nice beefy girl. Her Alt mode is a 1956 corrvette.
Classy is hard name to get on most boards as handle kind common so threw in bit of my Star Trek fandom adding the NX01 from the Enterprise call numbers from the now defunked Enterprise series....did I mention most the shows I like meet early death?
So that's the story on my name.

Nekoman is something Aya Hirano came up with during the production of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumia. A gallery of Nekomen was included as an extra in the third DVD volume. Having watched said DVD recently, I decided on that to be my name.

Rodimus Prime wrote:What's the story behind your username here? Some of the names I read just make me think, why would someone pick that name? Do the numbers mean anything?
Mine is pretty obvious. On another TF board back in 2001, I was using a different name, and an argument came up regarding the character of Rodimus. 1 guy defending him got teamed up on by 7 or 8 other posters, so I tried to help him. It escalated into a flame war, and I ended up getting banned. I re-registered with a different computer and a different e-mail, and also picked a different name: Rodimus Prime. After a few months, I once again was at the heart of a huge multi-thread flame war, and ended up getting banned. This time, I didn't even go back.
So, that's my story. Next!
It was The Archive, huh Roddy?
