The transforming sound effect
I think I heard this only twice, couldve been more? But anyone else dissapointed they didnt use this more liberally? I mean really who would ever get sick of that sound? The trailer had the sound when optimus first shows up and in the movie...nope.

the only time i heard it was when blackout transformed. it probly was in most of the other ones, just not noticable due to all the other gears and metal clinging sounds.

I liked the transforming sounds because what they did was they took the original sound and added personal sounds for each TF based on what there alt is. Like when the Autobots transform, they all have reving engine sounds but each sound like their type of cars' engine and when SS transforms there is a jet engine sound mixed in.

I heard it when Blackout first transformed, and near the end, there's a slowed down version when Ironhide transforms.

Some of the transformations had what sounded (to me) like an updated transformation sound.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

what you also have to take into account though is that in the movie the transformations take sevearl seconds or alot longer than the cartoons, i mean we arnt talking 5 frames here, personally i herd most of them the most notable being optimuses frist transformation. (i nearly creamed myself)
and besides if you herd that noise just going on and on for the duration of the entire transformation it would sound kinda stupid, the way they did it was not the best i admit, but it didnt suck, they added just enough for fan satisfaction i think

I heard the transforming sound from the 80's cartoon, when Blackout started to transform, it was early like when he moved back his helicopter blades.
I hard a revamed tramsforming sound when Ironhide transformed to shoot at brawl

You do realize you are on a site for "kids toys" right?

I only heard it once that I remember this morning, when Blackout first transforms to start his attack on desert base. Wasn't missed at all the rest of the movie.
I think I might have noticed the "modified" effect ultra mentioned a couple posts back, but it wasn't memorable enough to be bothered with remembering.
I agree with Spike. You need to remember this is a site devoted to what your calling "stupid kids toys". I'm 32 and I've got no problem admitting I still collect Transformers.
I have to admit, though, that the transformation sound effect really wasn't missed when I didn't hear it. It worked for when I caught it at the beginning of the movie, but was useless for the rest of the movie.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

Just got back from seeing the movie for the third time. I caught Ironhides transformation sound when hes transforming in the city at speed.
Thats deffinatley one of my favs.. As well as Starscreams jump/spoolup engine/ flip and fly maneuver.

The toys never made any sounds it was the cartoon. Also I was saying that they could blend in the classic sound with the new so I understand they take longer to transform in the movie.
