Hey it's ok CP, at least some of us appreciate him. Personally I've given up on trying to sway folks on him because the vast majority of the community has such strong feelings on the subject.

Look, articulation is NOT the be all and end all of Transformers. It's great when employed properly. It is not an absolutely necessary feature though.

Energon Galvatron has approximately the same amount of real articulation that Armada Super Prime has. Yet he is heralded as one of the best figures in years despite a lack of joints.

You can make summary judgements like this and throw up some pictures, but it's not making a case for anything in doing so. I'm not trying to be mean here, but honestly until you can give me something other than, 'It's lacking articulation, thus it is the worst ever.' I don't feel the need to say anymore.

ok, so point taken, its really not a summary judgment, and I'm not trying to piss you off, I actually bought Armada Prime,its the bot that brought me back into collecting, with the initial intentions that I was satisfied, but over time and even with his combiner abilities, I just felt cheated. I really like the design portrayed in the cartoon, but the lack of realism and articulation translating into the toy really hurt it over time, and is why I eventually gave him up..

What made me mad was that they came so far with earlier versions of Prime, and then to release the Armada, whom i was starting to really get into, and fall so short.. it just made me wish there was a better version being released some day..

Fatimus (E-Optimus) Prime. I saw him used and said no...after seeing him new years ago and said no. The ONLY way I'd buy him is if I could get him with Wing Saber, Omega Supreme and Omega Sentinel.

You do realize that:

1. He's a bad-ass homage to Star Convoy.
2. Articulation is not just about moving your arms and legs. What this Prime has lacking in that articulation, he has rockin in his trailer. Motion sensing, numerous mini-con activated ports, combinability with two other figures, lights and sounds...sheesh.
3. His alt mode is outstanding. He is perhaps, the most diesel looking Prime ever.

Besides, worst Prime ever is in all likelihood Energon Prime. Now I personally think he's an awesome toy. I repeat, he is a very good toy. However, he's too out-side the 'Prime Box'. He's too fat, has an Ultra Magnus Trailer, is not the traditional color scheme, has Power Ranger style combination, and so forth. Granted, he looks great with Wing Saber, but you'll notice he's the only Prime to have what, oh, zero repaints.

That says something if Hasbro isn't interested in repackaging a redeco Prime.

Energon Prime, while not a complete abomination, is the worst Prime figure in my arsenal. It would actually have been better if they painted him white and called him UM.

Armada Prime is a great toy. While I only have two of him, his normal mode rocks, his alt mode was probably the best in the Armada line, and his super was pretty damn cool. Just think; an infra-red self-transforming base station to super pants!

And then, he could combine with Jetfire and Overload, two pretty damn cool figures, and both Sparkplug and Corona Sparkplug are brill minicons, and delightful homages to the G1 human exosuits.

I actually liked the Bat Optimus Primal. I don't know why, it was just fun when I was a kid.

I agree though, that Optimus Prime from that 2 Pack was terribly made.

Unlike Go Go Fatimus Ranger though, it was a nice little toy and looked good for what it was.

I don't own energon, he looked so bad I didn't bother. I did get suckered into buying the $40 Armada Prime. I hated that toy so much when I got it it's in pieces now in the basement. The deluxe version is one of my favorite toys though, which is odd that I bought it considering how I took a chance with the larger version and loathe it.

Here's my list of the five worst Optimus Primes ever made:

1. Optimus Primal (Beast Wars - Bat version)
2. Optimus Prime (Energon)
3. Optimus Primal (Beast Machines) (both regular and Blast Punch)
4. Optimus Primal (Beast Wars) (Transmetal)
5. Optimus Prime (Armada)

Armada Prime would've been #1 on my list, but his Final Battle mode actually looks good.

While he is fun, I have to agree, Movie Prime is not the 'it' for me either. He's low on the list.

I like Armada Prime. I thought it was a pretty cool gimmick, and the fact taht he did some combining was cool. BTW CP, I would like the Ballpark Franks Version you have(yellow/red). Wanted it for awhile, just forgot...

Air Attack Optimus was listed above as a worst? How YFG? He is a very accurate, well-articulated version of the BM version.

Worst Prime ever? If you include Primals, I would have to go with the Deluxe Beast Machines version mentioned before. He was indeed a very bad representation, and not a very good figure to boot. However, the MEGA (?) sized Blast Punch was a very, very good improvement, and is one of the best renditions out there!

And yes BTR Armada or Energon Prime were both pretty bad.

It took me a while to find one at a reasonable price.

I believe it was Crimson King here on the boards who finally hooked me up.

Personally I hate Cybertron Prime and G1 Prime.

Why? I know it sounds silly but the heads and those creepy yellow eyes.

Small Armada (or Targetmaster) Prime, the one with Overrun is one of my favourite of the Optimi. Up there with RID and Clasiics Optimus.

If only we'd get a decent upgrade of G1 Rodimus Prime (my favourite Prime). Titanium just seems too small.

That is why. He looks like ass, and he HAS one too! He just looks like a sad parody of Optimus Primal.

And before anyone goes off and says; "It is because you hate BW/BM! Gewunner! Drrr!"

Shut your traps. I may hate BW/BM, but I am honest enough to note a great toy with an awesome design.

Optimal Optimus, Optimus Primal (Black gorilla) are both AWESOME Transformers, so there!
