Can anyone else imagine Starscream laughing a Spongebob laugh at Optimus Prime? *shudders*

I still want to see this series. Tom Kenny does great voices.

Can you imagine if every voice actor could only do one type of voice? there would be thousands of cartoon animals running around that sound like G1 megatron. :shock:

Tom Kenny has a very strong range and probably will get the closest to G1 Starscream if that is the direction they are going.

Good choice and give him a chance before you write off the series for his prior work.

Anyone who doubts that Tom Kenny can voice Starscream needs to watch the Spongebob ep where he plays the drop of hot sauce Sandy is about to douse on Spongebob's tongue during their karate match: "By the powers of naughtiness, I proclaim this particular drop of hot sauce to be REALLY HOT!!!" It's a goofy line, but it's a great voice. I can easily hear Kenny voicing 'Screamer.

It depends when it comes to the TF series... I did not like Beast Wars, just never could get into it. I enjoyed Armada, but it was slow start before I got into it. Energon bored me to tears, I stopped watching it and hopefully will one day watch it to the end. Cybertron I adored. We'll see. It depends alot on story and how they portray the characters. I will watch it, but if I don't like the story I won't watch it.

I suppose in energon, I did not care much for how they portrayed Starscream, that was one factor. Cybertron, which I like almost as much as the original series, I really enjoyed the portrayal. I just loathed the Autobot's tendancy to powerlink at the drop of a pin. I will most likely watch it, if I can find the torrents, but I don't like spongebob.

Well it works for Steve Blum, he only uses one voice.

Will Tom Kenny work out as Starscream? I don't know, haven't seen the show yet.

Can I think of an action role of Kenny's has voiced? No, no I haven't.

QFT. The guy is a VA people. Most VA's do multiple roles, so you can't say he sucks solely for the fact he does Spongebob. Hell, he does more than just Spongebob on that show, let alone the other shows he does. I like Tom Kenny, I'm actually a huge Spongebob fan, so this is good news to me. I think he can pull off a pretty cool 'Screamer.

Still doesn't change the fact that I got a feeling this may be worse than Armada. I know all we got are three VA's, and a vauge description of the story, but a young Prime? The female VA(I forget he name) says her character is really young? Meh, hopefully when they actually show us some more I wont think this is going to be a crapfest.

Actually his voice doesn't sound like that. Saw an interview and didn't beleive he was the voice of spongebob until he did it, the same with Heffer from Rocko's Modern Life.

But I agree with most folks hope the story of the series is good, otherwise all the VA talent in the world won't help it.

Megatron and Soundwave on one end. Wheelie and Rumble/Frenzy on the other end of the spectrum. All the voices in between... One name... Frank Welker!

Not saying that Tom Kenny is equal to Frank Welker, but I'm sure he's not a Kasey Casem.

I'd like to hear his spin, but that last guy from the Unicron Trilogy did a great StarScream, why not stick with him?

He did a great Cobra Commander too in those straight to video CGI movies!
