I also love Vector Prime and Scourge from Transformers Cybertron. Great looking figures but very easy Transformations.

Viollustre wrote:THe Unicron Trilogy yielded many figures with simpler transformations. Cybertron probably had the most solid figures out of the 3 due to less intrusive gimmicks. Enter Vector Prime, a prime example (sorry) of a figure with stunning detailing, awesome accessories, built-in sounds and a transformation consisting of:
1) Fold legs and feet out
2) Fold cockpit kibble down to form cape/backpack
3) Untab arms from the side of the body.
4) Lift shoulder armour up
5) Twist head 180
I understand he appeared in last week's list, and in the top 10 best headsculpts, but I think he deserves a mention here too because he's just that awesome at so many different things! (Ooh I'd totally would place him in a best swords and most well-hidden head list to)
Vector Prime is also one of my personal all-time favorites, Viollustre! Only thing better would be if his head was on a ball or lever joint so that he could look in an upward direction. Other than that, this is a pretty damn awesome toy that only cost $20 at retail, though I'm really happy that I splurged and got the Takara Galaxy Force version back in 2005.

I'd -love- a Vector Prime. I'm not usually into the more religious aspects of Transformers - except when it's treated as more ambiguous on whether or not it was true - but just as a character VP was always really cool to me and he has a damn awesome design. Heck, it brings together the two Transformers things I loved as a kid -- Cybertron and Mini-Cons!
Also, sword. That's a really cool sword.

Ah scattershot! That is another great mold! I have the Overload version of the mold, but it is a really good one! Simple, yet fully flexible and lots of fun with the giant missile racks!
I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please!

I love this topic.
Yeah, complex can be good, and simple can be bad, but I also think simple can be underrated. A lot of times I just wanna pick a toy up and play with it.

Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

They need to do a top 5 most easily broken Transformers toys. My original G1 Optimus lost his legs pretty early on.

Re: Top 5 Best Transformers Toys with Easy Transformations
While talking about that, what's hasbro and Takara position about this ?
Of course they'll not provide support of old G1 toys, but MP Starscrean and Rodimus ? do they replace them ? Completely ignore the problem ?

I thought G1 Megatron broke really easily. My brother had him & the arm broke off. We got a replacement & it happened again.

Well none of those toys can be bought at retail right now so you'd get no support. But say your Hasbro MP10 bought at Toysrus this year was faulty, hasbro would either send you a 10$ coupon or ask you to return the entire figure and send you something of equivalent value. And that thing of equivalent value will probably be Combiner Wars G2 Menasor and Victorion.
As for Takara, I tried once, they have 0 english language support or international support (since they only sell toys to Japanese stores/audiences). If you speak Japanese and living in Japan, they have a number you can call for assistance.

I had an experience dealing with Hasbro after purchasing the TRU exclusive MP Starscream. Mine had a factory defect where it was missing a small piece in the crotch area. They said that because it was an exclusive, they had no extras or any way to send me a part & could only offer me two options: a refund from them or I could try to exchange it at the store I purchased it from. Since I used a coupon to buy it & didn't expect the store to get any more in for an even exchange (they never did), I just kept it.
