Arcee belongs on this list over and above everyone but Armada Unicon. Everybody else? They at least had their original toy. But Arcee? Her G1 toy got axed because of Hasbro execs going "Eww girl cooties in our boys' toyline" and she went without a proper toy FOR TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS despite how much people wanted her. There's a reason people were annoyed that Energon Arcee was a motorcycle. There's a reason Animated Arcee got scalped so much. There's a reason some of the first 3P figures were of Arcee. People said for years "HasTak will never really do her". And then Generations at long last gave us a true, official G1 Arcee based on her original character design and translating it beautifully into toy form.

If SIEGE Skyfire displaces anyone, it should be MP-01 Optimus or T30 Springer.

My animated Arcee was pricey but not "scalper priced" at least. Still had to buy her off Ebay and pay shipping. I remember that 3P head option for Animated Arcee that sold for as much as the figure herself.

Some years before Gen Arcee was finally a thing, I paid the big bucks to get Delicate Warrior. Still have her to this day.

Now, will HasTak finally make a decent MP Arcee that will blow the current 3P offerings out of the water? Or will she a panels nightmare like MP Bee 2.0 with paint that scratch off all over the place for 200$+?

A re-release/reimagined version of Bludgeon in purple/yellow since i never owned the original G1 Bludgeon.

But then Power of the Primes Titan Masters came along. At first i bought each from wave 1 and 2. But when i heard Bludgeon was in the last wave... i knew i had to get him.

And size doesnt matter for Prime Master suits. Metalhawk and Bludgeon look amazingly detailed.

I got him and he replaces no one. Unlike many characters, he's had a consistent amount of representation throughout all lines (even Unicron trilogy albeit in a non G1 design) and they were all fine toys. I don't even know if Siege Skyfire would take the top spot in a list of best Jet/Skyfire toys.

Still Energon Jetfire is terrible. No real face and no-one knows what that claw on him and skyblast belly does.

It's meant to be a capture/transport claw I think. I always thought it was rather neat.

Myself I thought Energon Jetfire looked cool but IIRC his articulation is rather dreadful. Which is a shame as his design is rather sweet.

I think I fall into that category with Siege and G1 duking it out but honestly shoot I love the Classics and 30 for their own merits. The whole helmet covering the G1 face that’s just getting chocolate in my peanut butter I mean the Alpha and Omega become one

A best jetfire list would include all versions. For sure cybertron would be in it. I also like that energon scout rendition.

ROTF Jetfire is as much Jetfire as ROTF Optimus Prime is Optimus Prime. It's just an interpretation of the character. They even kept the idea that he wasn't originally an autobot. That's more G1 homage than anyone else got in the movies.

You know I actually kind of like Energon Jetfire. I never got him but I find some of the same clunky spacey charm I find with Cosmos. He’s got a boss jet mode and a cool face. Maybe if he wasn’t Jetfire like his repaint with the other name that’s totally escaping me at the moment...

A cool toy though. Maybe if they named him Spacefire

My list would be pretty restrictive. It would go with the top five Jetfires that are the closer to the original look and concept as possible.

Titanium get scrapped because it's garbage.

As for a top five where the Jetfires must be as different as possible, we would get:

-- G2
-- Armada
-- SS
-- Siege
-- Cybertron

But honestly, it should be a TOP TEN list. Then we could include and pit all of them against each others.

Nahh except for combined form with Optimus, Jetfire looked too big and clunky in Armada. My favorite would be Siege Jetfire. But a Masterpiece G1 Jetfire would be amazing.

As much as I love Cybertron Jetfire, I think Cybertron Wingsaber should have carried the Jetfire name. He had the white/red color scheme to go more with a Jetfire, instead of the green camo...

And to answer another question, I hate top ten lists because then those left out are more apparent and people get more angry. A top 5 is easier to digest. The one that didnt make it will always simply be number 6.

This make stating the point of the top five even more important. Meaning for the Jetfire list, is G1/classic character fidelity get priority, the toy itself on it's own no matter any "accuracy", or a balanced mix of both ideas?

This will at least alleviate some questions... That is, for those who bother reading the whole article instead of just the headlines.

Just good Jetfire toys, balanced like I hope all my lists to be. And I just did it, you'll see that list within the next year or so.
