I doubt he has gone forever, I think the stores just sold out of the movie cast figures throughout their sales and havent gotten restocked.
If worst comes to worst, you can always purchase (one of the potentially many) repaints.

I think even Hasbro would be shocked at how well their movie figures have sold.

Opened FAB Brawl last night.

He is surprisingly good, better even than Ratchet. His Transformation is far more complex than Ratchet (you have to move about 8 things, rather than 4). I looked at the instructions for a laugh, and I must say that they are possibly the worst instructions for any figure I have ever owned (and yes, this includes Universe Nemesis Prime). If any kiddies were struggling with him, the instructions would confuse them even further, it skips about 3 needed steps to make the transformation easier.
His "punch" action is as good as Ratchet, and there are plenty of weapons and whatnot.

Only negative about him is that his missiles are pullback/spring loaded, they fire fairly well, but fall out really easily.

Should I go for a round tomorrow?

Haven't went out to buy Transformers in a while, last time was last week lol... feels very long. I only bought Wreckage then. So, should I go tomorrow (Friday 2nd)? I have uni day off so it might be a productive round...

I thought FAB Brawl would be good. Looking at him in the shops I throught he might even be better than the deluxe version.

Personally I think I like him more than Deluxe Brawl.

His robot mode is not as well articulated, but it still looks like Brawl, he has no shoulder issues though, which is a major plus. His detailing and painting is supremely above par, in fact I'd be quite happy and willing to say that the FAB line is the best painted movie line.

His alt mode is slightly larger than the Deluxe, and again, I personally think he is painted better than the Deluxe version.

I wouldn't bother. Targets seem to be empty, waiting for more stock, Big W's are not any better, and TRU have not even received wave 2 figures yet.
However someone at TAAU found smaller versions of the "Car Robots" line in his local Target for $11, they were closer in size to the Alternator line. Far better than paying $30 for the larger ones in Big W.

Hey, I went for a round because I didn't read ur post before this morning, and here's something interersting: Target, Big W and Toyworld HAVE restocked, and although most of their restocks are Dreadwings/Arcees for TRU, Voyager Megs for Big W and Swindles for Target.

No 08 Bumblebee and definitely none of the newer figures. Nevertheless, I wasn't displeased (I didn't buy anything). At least they bothered restocking.

Restocking up in Brisvegas at least. :P

I didnt even bother going for my weekly jaunt up to Chatswood, I dont expect new toys for at least a month, and there were no good comics out this week.

As much as Australia is my second home, I refuse to call Brisbane Brisvegas. Compared to my city Hong Kong or the actual Vegas, it's completely unimpressive. Come to think of it the only reason why I'm here and not in Sydney or Melbourne is because of sentimental attachment (lived here a few years back). As soon as I complete Honours here I'm getting outta here and going home.

Well, I'm happy to take a break from looking for movie toys and maybe check out some toys online.

Which stores do you look in? I'm usually looking for toys in the city. Indro had a pretty decent range during the Target toy sale, but now there's nothing there.

Thanks. Westfield Garden City disappointed me last time I went. Although at one time the TRU there had Dreadwings, and Arcees before anyone else.

Thanks for the PM, if you find it. I'll return the favour if I also see Bumblebee 08 somewhere. At the City today they had Arcees, Dreadwings, Swindles, and Voyager Megatrons. No Bumbles.

I heard there is a restock of toys from the 5th for Target in the States. Will this apply for the Aussies?

If that's true it might be a good idea to go shopping this Sunday~

No.

Other than the name and branding, Australian Target and American Target have nothing in common, they are owned by different companies, and thus have different plans.

They'll restock, when the product is shipped to us from either HK or the USA.

im am having a little trouble finding some and i look on ebay and they are so god damn expensive compared to the shops. I wont buy them if they are over the price that i can get them at the shops.
I am only gonna collect the deluxe figures if they were actually in the movie. Like im not gonna get Swindle or wreckage or some of the others.
I got my 08 camaro bumblebee for $20 and you look on eBay and it and ive seen it go for $70 all that you need to do is to gry a new shopping center and they may have it.
The only ones that i need from the Deluxe class are Brawl and the 77 bumblebee ( i think that it is 77, well i hope it is) i have seen them at the shops but i didn't have the money at the time.

The figures so far in my collection are Voyager Starscream, Jazz, 08 Bumblebee, Barricade, Scorponok and Bonecrusher.

You can thank Scalpers, and the general popularity of the movie for that. Ebay prices are so high because the Scalpers are going and buying all figures of toys like 08 Bumblebee to make him rare, and people are daft enough to pay triple what they would have for the same figure in store.

Alpha and Omega wrote:I am only gonna collect the deluxe figures if they were actually in the movie. Like im not gonna get Swindle or wreckage or some of the others.

Your loss. Wreckage is one of the better Deluxe figures, he has hands, and no gimmick issues. Swindle is made of very frail feeling plastic, has a horrible horrible head, but otherwise is everything a Transformer should be.

Brawl has become a hard figure to find. I honestly suggest hunting down the FAB version of him, it is a far superior figure, and is also slightly easier to find at the moment. It may also be a few dollars cheaper. When hunting down the 74 Camaro, make sure that you get the version with a smaller peg. There are various threads on this site that tell you exactly what to look for. Although Newer waves do not have the peg issue, so you should be fairly safe from it.
You are also missing Deluxe Bonecrusher, who is possibly the easiest movie figure of any size class to find.

Happy Hunting!
