Is that not what the Retro Headmasters line was for? They even shelfwarmed for a good while.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:On the subject of Titans Return and reissues, what they really need to reissue are some of the deluxes.
Especially frigging Misfire, because the resellers are greedy worthless good-for-nothing oxygen-wasting s***stains on the face of the earth who demand obscene money for him.
A $17 mass-retail deluxe is NOT worth $200 on the aftermarket. End of story. *twitch*

The Retro Headmasters were barely in any stores in my area. But, you can bet if they did the same with the 3 Decepticon Target Masters from TR (especially if they included the Takara exclusive TMs) they would be extremely popular.
Triggerhappy being early in TR was the only one that got decent distribution in the U.S. Misfire was from wave 5 that ended up only at Ollie's for some reason. Slugslinger being a wave 6 tail ender did a little better, but not much. I saw it ONCE.

Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics
Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

A 17$ regular deluxe could be worth a million dollars. If enough people pay, that will be its price.
That's how it work.
Come see my latest creation, the COMPLETE combiner team, Scorponok and his Pretenders, forming SHELLSHOCK

No, it wasn't; not in practice anyway. In practice, the Retro Headmasters line was for reissuing TR Deluxes that (aside from maybe Brainstorm) weren't in demand (and in offputting deceptive/lazy packaging, too): The seven who were Headmasters originally.Sabrblade wrote:Is that not what the Retro Headmasters line was for? Later figures like Misfire, Slugslinger, Topspin, Twin Twist, Windblade, and Perceptor were in much higher demand and painfully priced on eBay - Misfire especially so. But no, Hasbro chose to reissue the ones where 1. the originals were still largely non-painful to get on eBay and 2. Most people wanting better had forked out for the Legends releases already.
Wave 5 also made it to Target in some areas, I can confirm that from experience. At least, the Deluxes, Voyagers, Legends, and Titan Masters did. Overload as well as Sky Shadow from Wave 4 were complete no-shows at Targets in my area.o.supreme wrote:The Retro Headmasters were barely in any stores in my area. Don't forget Retro Headmasters sweetened the deal by using the anime-accurate Legends heads, and were dirt cheap comparatively.

And I totally agree on those resellers. 'Nuff said. I only want Twin Twist out of that wave though, but eh...

It took a while, but I finally got the TR Powermaster Prime. I wish his feet had ankle articulation, but he is still pretty nice. Glad i finally got him, I certainly appreciate him more now
