My owns story.

My entire collection stolen, because of disagreement with my father on whether to lock or unlock the storage room. I wanted it locked. When i went out of town, he unlocked it. So all my toys were carted away.

That's all of my collection since childhood. Painstakingly saved my meager allowance for months, just to be able to buy them one by one. It's a rather slow process. So my collection is very few.

I wonder why did i still attached the "G1" description before each name, when in fact, i could just say "All of them are G1".

This happened sometime around 2005-2006.

Directly due to this reason, and as a revenge of some sort, i bought the Classics one by one, as soon as it was released on Nov 2006. Until i was able to complete the whole series in a year's time.

Well, I didn't even realize what I was missing until I got back into collecting with the release of the Classics. I went through pics and lists on old sites identifying what I had lost. Fortunately, I still have some of my later grabs (Soundwave KO - or Cassette Man KO depending on how u look at it, OP G1 reissue, Hot Rod G1 & reissue, Pirhanicons, Kup, Cyclonus, PM OP, Unicron, and a broken Rodimus). I really regret missing out on the Alternators releases, though. Oh well, there's time yet. I really am looking forward to the Animated series, actually. Those look waaaay better than expected. And we can only hope there are more Classics on the way..

Same here. Seems to be a very losable transformer.

For years I always wanted a Bumblebee toy, but you never saw any minibots in the shops. Then one day on a trip to London, I went to Hamleys, and they had the full range of Pretender Classics. Most of the later G1 toys bored me, but any version of the original characters was a must-have.

So I managed secure a Pretender Bumblebee(an easy decision). A few days later I was home, and of course I had to take it everywhere. I remember going to a playground in the park, and swinging upside down on the bars and going down the slide. Then a few minutes after leaving I remember searching my pockets and that horrible 'it's not there' realisation.

Went back, there was absolutely no sign of it, but I remember there was this older, rougher, inner-city sorta kid, and I remember being certain he must've taken it. Of course I was too pussy to do anything about it.

I think I must've carried 'round feelings of bitterness and disappointment for years afterwards. Ultimately it culminated in me buying one off ebay about 2 years back. Such a great toy.

Other than that I have pretty much all the transformers I ever had. A lot of them are totally trashed though. When I was coming into my teens but feeling a bit too old for toys, I had the good sense to gather every transformer I could find into a cardboard box, and put it up on top of my wardrobe out of harms way. A lot of stuff got thrown out the year after that, so I probably saved them at just the right time.
