I don't find this all that surprising, they've done things like this moreso in passing than actually making a supreme class figure that's at all worthwhile. The only Supreme figures that are any good are Unicron, Omega Supreme, and Primus, while the rest are little more than bloated up voyager figures with weak gimmicks, and this looks to be no exception.

wow they just keep getting worse & worse, and i guarantee the plastic on this guy will be the worst of all. And I dont even want to think about the price point on this guy. At this point im hoping hasbro goes under, itll never happen but until either management changes or some other company gets a hold of the brand this is the crap we're going to be stuck with and i cant accept that.

I have a feeling this may have more QC issues than the voyager class, cuz I have the voyager, and right out of the box, the grey piece that tabs onto the left mirror snapped.
A bigger one may fare even worse.

Here's hoping Takara saves us.

One of the ugliest, most poorly designed Optimus Prime figures I think I've ever seen. A new benchmark for low standards and poor taste.

Whoever expects bigger to be better is clearly off the mark. Anything larger than Leader (nowadays even Voyager) has to be simple in transformation and gimmick-ridden. It's an unwritten rule. Remember who these toys are really for

I have no need for such a large figure, I skipped the DotM Ultimate, and I'm skipping this one.

Wow, what a poopy design.

I, too, had a moment of weakness and bought the BH voyager Optimus, only to be terribly let down. I think it was only because I hadn't gotten a TF in a while and just had to have one. Poor choice, though. And now this......PASS!

Predaking is ok i guess?...i hope does wings can stay up in beast mode for a nice display mode if not im giving it to my 4 year old son to break has he pleases :lol:

Looking forward for Predaking to warm some shelves and go on sale. I was really looking forward for this version but now, meh. Back legs look terrible and he doesn't even have his 2 other dragon heads. Robot mode looks sexy as hell though. Much better than the voyager version.

I think the next Optimus Prime toy to come out will have him transform into a motorcycle. It will come with a base that transforms into a huge water tank and jump ramp with a huge great white shark swimming in it.

Like you said. I mean, the voyager's vehicle mode is awesome, but THIS... It's just a mess! The robot is cool enough and the wheel on the back make me think about some Japanese deity.

How big will this thing be? No matter, I may buy it but only on clearance.
Predaking is not too bad but I may buy him on clearance too.

My exitment is all for the upcoming METROPLEX. Now THAT'S a ULTIMATE class transformers that truly deserves the title.

easy pass, the voyager is far superior compared to this. Only thing this has over the voyager is more solid colors, but id rather spend $20 on the voyager and paint it than spend what ever absurd price for this and have a half assed figure that looks like crap. Bigger isnt always better and this is proof.

The voyager Predaking is clearly better. Kind of a let down for this figure. Now Im only looking forward to that huge Metroplex, Mp-Prowl and Mp-Smokescreen.

The only thing I don't like about this is that he seems to be lacking just a little more color in some areas. Particularly the yellow on his legs. I would rather have had his thighs been grey/silver instead of that orange. And I hope those wings raise higher, because that kinda sucks.
