i see tons of various threads about "who is your favorite" or similar themes. but i was wondering WHY is that one your favorite? is the reason from the toy or cartoon? did that one thing transfer from G1 to modern times with classics? let us know, i'm interested.

like for me, Hot Rod was a favorite since he used his wrist/exhaust blasters the first time in the movie. never had the toy, but always wanted it.

let's hear everyone else's.

should this be in General TF board? But if you are talking about the figures, then you are in the right spot..Essentially, it is kind of vague on what area of TF are you asking. So, it might be moved...

Anyways, my favorite is G1 Prowl because I am quiet and I rather listen than talk. This is why in terms of figures, I converted my BTA Red Alert into Prowl, which is my favorite figure because it was my first custom figure.

Probably Energon Strongarm. For a scout he had great articulation and there’s so much you can do with those energon parts.

G1 Hard Head for me. i loved his character when i was a kid, kind of a futuristic tank thing. i was also really diggin the whole headmaster gimmick with the smaller head, he had two big guns too so i was all about him. then i lost him, sandbox i think, so ive never had one since

but hes still my favorite, just been lazy in getting him replaced.

I dont think it should be in the general section if its about what TF FIGURE is you favorite. My favorite character is megatron but i also like other characters but megatron is my #1 favorite of all time. I have to say that if you are talking about figures that are my favorite in my collection, Then i would have to say that my favorite WAS the Megatron Revoltech figure his look and the sleekness of the figure rocks. He is very poseable and his paint job rules. I just loved that figures all around look. Then i got the leader class megatron movie figure, And that became my favorite figure because it changed the look of my favorite character and for the better. Megatrons G1 look was getting kind of stale and dull. When the movie came along it changed his look to a more monsterous look and he is very sinister and evil looking which megatron is. I love the new movie look of him and thats why leader class movie megatron is now my favorite.

I really don't have a dedicated "favorite". Some days I'll spend hours while working just fiddling with something simple like a Real Gear, a G1 Minibot, or one of the simpler Deluxes like Stockade or Cybertron Downshift. Other days I'll break out things like an Alternator or some of the Movie Deluxes, and just wonder what Hasbro would have done back in 1985-1986 if you flopped one of THOSE on the table and said "Here's a new gimmick - articulation AND they transform!"

Grimlock for me, as a kid I loved dinosaurs so the dinobots were immediate favourites, but I was given the toy by one of my best mates from school so it has great sentimental values as well.

Articulation is important to me. The more posses, the more dynamic the figure and character seems.

BW Dinobot was a favorite because of this.

My favorite is my very first TF that was my own and not a handydown G1 from my uncle, G2 Prime! God I played with that voicebox so much it annoyed everyone at Christmas time. Prime is incomplete and heavily worn by play, but still my favorite.
