every line has its shelfwarmers and those those that you can never find, its a major pain when thats due to case breakdowns rather than popularity. Eitherway which toys do you think are going to vanish like hotcakes and are any going to warm pegs?? of the core figures i can bet that the following will be hot:
leader earth megs (thats the only known version of him in earth mode).
grimlock (hes going to be popular with fans and kids, id be suprised if kids didnt want the big trapjaw t rex).
delux bumblebee (low price point and the most obvious choice for kids to relate to)
blitzwing (his over the top character should pull in the kids, esp with the face gimmick)
warmers (well by comparison), i wonder if the female BA will be wanted by male kids? ratchets alt mode may look a little ordinary to kids to get them too excited. cybertron megs, he occupies such a small part of the first episode that he could be largely forgotten esp when people know him in chopper form. the alt mode isnt much to get excited over in the box either.
overall though i bet grimlock is going to the 'most wanted'! One of the few toys i plan on buying a couple of.

All the optimus prime, megatron (which i cant wait to see up close) Bumblebee and prowl. All types like deluxe, voyager etc. IMO all of those will go if you dont grab them the first day. Maybe not prowl but i know the others will be gone.

Hey, welcome to Seibertron, and yeah, I'm gonna agree with this.
BB is still hot from the movie, and Primes always sell...

I don’t know why, but Hasbro always seems to be stingy about making Grimlock available, so I’m going to say he will be rare, just look at Energon and Classics, he was one of the rarest figures from both of those lines. Bumblebee and Deluxe Prime may also be semi-rare ones.
As for shelf warmers, all the leader class figures will be shelf warmers, my reasoning for this is because of the price tag and the fact that leader class figures have never been rare. I also think Voyager Bulkhead and lugnut will be pretty common. May want to add Oilslick too.

If it goes anything like the movie, shelfwarmers will be the Leader class and the bumperbattler/cyber slammers. They've been on shelves all year long.
But you don't know. They may underproduce what didn't sell before and overproduce what did.
In deluxe, Bumblebee, Prime, Lockdown, Grimlock, Blitzwing will all be popular.
I don't see Black Arachnia, Ratchet, Lugnut being as popular.

Bulkhead will sell because he's the big guy all kids will want, and the lucky kids will have their parents buy them the Leader class.
Everyone complains about Starscream's chin. Having him, I think his figure is great. I currently have him holding the Matrix, since I dont have an Allspark. I say he will sell.
Soundwave will sell quickly. I'm impressed with the design. They pulled him off rather well...he's very stylized and sleek.

Naturally, the biggest sellers will be both Prime and Megatron, for obvious reasons. Also Bumblebee will be quite popular with the itty-bitties...Bulkhead too, because he is bigger and will, no doubt, have a transformation that little hands can do easily.
As for myself, I will be seeking whole-heartedly Animated Megatron, Starscream and Blitzwing...and, if I can find him, Soundwave.

From seeing that new thread,
I'd say Grimlock is going to be a huge seller;
G1 fans, AND kids are going to dig.

grimlock and bumblebee, no question.
and character with little screen time'll warm the shelves. maybe lockdown or lesser members of the autobot elite.
